Community Empowerement Based on Local Potential Through the Genilangit Tourism Village Program in Poncol District, Magetan Regency

Empowerment is a way to improve the social community as a process of increasing awareness and ability to achieve success. Currently, efforts to reduce povertymhave begun from the Government sector to Non-Government Organizations, the main focus is to reduce poverty and improve the welfare community. At first the Genilangit Tourism Village was neglected forestry land, only used a campground and pine forest. In the process of its formation, this tourist village experienced various problems, one of them was change the name of the Bedengan Tourism Park to Genilangit Tourism Park. Improvement and enhancement of the living standards of rural communities is the main development target, the ability to develop independently will emerge if community participation begins to be encouraged in developing villages. This can be applied, one of which the participation of the community implementing and being involved in making the development programs in their village successful but more than, the youth organization must totally carry out this tourist village activity so it must be in accordance to what was planned, what needs to be emphasized is that the village development process runs on the initiative and was initiated by local residents by mobilizing their own resources. Data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and selecting research sources namely the people of Genilangit Village. The results of this study explain community empowerment in supporting the development of tourism in Geni Langit Village with Context, Input, Process, Output, Outcome.
