Judul penelitian ini adalah Pengembangan Model Sistem Informasi Manajemen Persuratan Berbasis Website di SMP Negeri 2 Menganti. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan sistem informasi manajemen persuratan berbasis website yang layak dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna serta menjadi sarana penunjang bagi SMP Negeri 2 Menganti dalam proses pengarsipan surat yang praktis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Research and Development dangan model pengembangan waterfall (perencanaan sistem, analisis sistem, desain sistem, penerapan sistem, perawatan sistem). Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui tahap uji coba, tahap pertama yaitu uji validitas oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Tahap kedua yaitu uji coba produk yang dibagi menjadi dua yaitu uji coba terbatas dan uji coba utama. Hasil uji coba tersebut menunjukkan hasil cukup valid pada aplikasi. Keunggulan dari sistem informasi manajemen ini yaitu kemudahan dalam pencarian data dan pengklasifikasian kode surat namun kekurangan pada sistem informasi manajemen ini masih belum dapat dioperasikan secara online.

The title of this thesis is Development of a Correspondence Management System Information Model Based on Website in SMP State 2 Menganti. The purpose of this research is, to produce appropriate management system information of correspondence based on website and becomes a supporting tool for SMP State 2 Menganti in the practical process of archiving letter. The research method used in this study is the Research and Development method with a waterfall development model (planning system, analysis system, design system, implementation system, maintenance system). This research was carried out through trials phase, the first stage was the validity test by media experts and material experts. the second stage is product testing which is divided into two part, namely limited trials and main trials. The results of the trial show the result are quite valid in the application. The advantage of this management information system is the ease of data search and classification of letter codes but the shortcomings in this management information system still cannot be operated online.
