Penelitiannini”bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan hardiness pada atlet”mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif.”Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling”dengan total 99 atlet mahasiswa,”30 atlet try out dan 69 subjek. Karakteristik subjek berusia 18- 23 tahun,”mahasiswa aktif Universitas Negeri Surabaya,”mahasiswa atlet yang tergabung dalam anggota UKM olahraga”di Universitas Negeri Surabaya, aktif dalam kejuaraan. Tekniknpengumpulan data yang digunakannadalah angket/ kuisioner berupa skala IERQ4S untuk regulasi emosi dan skala Hardiness. Teknik analisa data ini menggunakan uji korelasi product moment pearson, analisa menunjukkan nilai r= 0,293 dan nilai signfikansi 0,015 kurang dari 0,05 (p<0,05) dimana kedua variabel berkorelasi dan memiliki hubungan positif yang artinya hipotesis diterima.”Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan hardiness pada atlet mahasiswa dimana semakin tinggi regulasi emosinya maka akan semakin tinggi hardiness pada atlet mahasiswa begitu pula sebaliknya,”apabila regulasi emosinya rendah maka hardinessnya juga akan rendah.
The purpose of this study is to understand”the relationship between emotion regulation and hardiness in student athletes. The method used in this investigation is a quantitative method. In this study, purposive sampling was used to draw samples”from 99 student athletes, 30 athletes for try-out , and 69 subjects. Characteristics of subjects aged 18-23 years, active students at Surabaya State University, student athletes who are members of sports UKM at Surabaya State University, and being an active participant in championship. “The data collection method that is being used is a questionnaire using the IERQ4S scale to emotion regulation and hardiness scale. The technique used to analyze the data”in this case was correlation test for product moment pearson, the analysis was showed a value of r= 0,293 and a significance value 0,015 less than 0,05 (p<0,05) while both variables were positively correlated and had a positive relationship, indicating that the hypothesis was confirmed. Resultsa’of this study indicate that there is a relationship between the regulation of emotion and hardiness in student atheletes, whereby as emotion regulation becomes more intense, hardiness in those atheles becomes more intense as well, and vice versa”if the emotional regulation is low, the hardiness will also be low.
