FENOMENA BAHASA DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 PADA MEDIA YOUTUBE KOMPASTV EDISI 2021
LANGUAGE PHENOMENON DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON YOUTUBE MEDIA KOMPASTV EDITION 2021
Abstrak
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi fenomena bahasa di media YouTube KOMPASTV pada masa pandemi Covid-19, meliputi 1) mengklasifikasikan istilah di masa pandemi Covid-19 dan 2) mendeskripsikan pola karakteristik variasi bahasa di masa pandemi Covid-19. Channel KOMPASTV dijadikan objek penelitian karena jumlah yang berlangganan sudah mencapai 11,2M. Pengkajian ini dilakukan pada teks media YouTube KOMPASTV edisi 2021 bulan Agustus—Desember pada masa pandemi Covid-19 di Indonesia atau berada di masa virus Covid-19 mulai muncul kembali. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-kualitatif. Teknik yang digunakan dalam menggambil data yaitu simak dan catat, serta menganalisis data menggunakan metode interaktif. Hasil dari penilitian berdasarkan 17 video yang menjadi sumber data, ditemukan istilah yang muncul saat pandemi Covid-19 yang telah di klasifikasikan menjadi dua, yaitu: (1) istilah lama muncul dan (2) istilah baru. Dalam pola karakteristik variasi istilah diklasifikasikan dalam bentuk sinonim, bahasa Inggris, singkatan, dan akronim. Interpretasi hasil penelitian pembentukan istilah baru pada masa pandemi Covid-19 ditemukan berasal 6 dari bahasa asing dan 2 bahasa terbentuk melalui keadaan. Namun tidak ditemukan adanya istilah yang terbentuk dari kata serumpun. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa istilah baru termasuk dalam variasi istilah nonformal, karena terdapat istilah-istilah yang menggunakan bahasa asing.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the language phenomenon on KOMPASTV YouTube media during the Covid-19 pandemic, including 1) classifying terms during the Covid-19 pandemic and 2) describing the characteristic patterns of language variation during the Covid-19 pandemic. The KOMPASTV channel is the object of research because the number of subscribers has reached 11.2M. This study was carried out on the 2021 edition of the KOMPASTV YouTube medium text in August—December during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia or at a time when the Covid-19 virus began to reappear. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. The technique used in collecting data is listening and recording, and analyzing the data using interactive methods. The results of the research based on 17 videos that became the data source, found terms that emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic, which have been classified into two, namely: (1) old terms appear and (2) new terms. In the characteristic pattern of variations, terms are classified in the form of synonyms, English, abbreviations, and acronyms. The interpretation of the research results in the formation of new terms during the Covid-19 pandemic was found to come from 6 foreign languages and 2 languages formed through circumstances. However, no terms were found that were formed from cognate words. This shows that the new term is included in a variety of non-formal terms, because there are terms that use foreign languages.
