PENERAPAN MODEL PBL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH PADA MATERI PENCEMARAN LINGKUNGAN
APPLICATION OF PBL MODEL TO IMPROVE PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS ON ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION MATERIAL
Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan respon siswa terhadap penerapan Problem based learning dalam materi pencemaran lingkungan .Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada salah satu SMP di Surabaya dengan subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VII-e sebanyak 33 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi, lembar tes tulis, dan lembar angket respon. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dengan melakukan observasi, tes tulis, dan angket respon.Hasil keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa pada saat pretest memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 51,52 dan terdapat peningkatan pada saat siswa mengerjakan lembar posttest rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat menjadi 86,32. Selain itu, dapat diperoleh hasil N-gain sebesar 0,74 dengan kategori tinggi. Hasil tiap indikator keterampilan pemecahan masalah yang meliputi mengerti permasalahan memperoleh hasil N-gain sebesar 0,72 dengan kategori tinggi, membuat rencana pemecahan masalah memperoleh hasil N-gain sebesar 0,77 dengan kategori tinggi, menjalankan rencana memperoleh hasil N-gain sebesar 0,83 dengan kategori tinggi dan periksa kembali memperoleh hasil N-gain sebesar 0,80 dengan kategori tinggi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran telah dilakukan sebanyak 2 pertemuan dengan persentase sebesar 100% yang berkategori sangat baik. Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap penerapan model Problem Based Learning dengan hasil rata-rata sebesar 91,21% yang berkategori sangat baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model problem based learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa.

This study to describe the improvement of problem solving skills, learning implementation and students' responses to the application of problem-based learning in environmental pollution material.The type of research used is pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at one of the junior high schools in Surabaya with the subjects in this study were students of class VII-e as many as 33 students. The instruments used were observation sheets, written test sheets, and response questionnaire sheets. The results of students' problem solving skills during the pretest obtained an average of 51.52 and there was an increase when students worked on the posttest sheet, the average student score increased to 86.32. In addition, the N-gain result is 0.74 with a high category. The results of each indicator of problem solving skills which include understanding the problem obtained an N-gain of 0.72 with a high category, making a problem solving plan obtained an N-gain of 0.77 with a high category, carrying out the plan obtained an N-gain of 0.83 with a high category and rechecking obtained an N-gain of 0.80 with a high category. The research results obtained show that the implementation of learning has been carried out as many as 2 meetings with a percentage of 100% which is as follows. Students gave a positive response to the application of the Problem Based Learning model with an average result of 91.21% which was categorized as very good. So it can be concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model can improve students' problem solving skills.
