Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi adanya temuan perilaku agresif pada anak tunagrahita ringan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh assertive training untuk mengurangi perilaku agresif pada siswa tunagrahita kelas x SMALB di SLB negeri gedangan sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan Single Subject Research (SSR), desain penelitian ini digunakan adalah desain A-B-A. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis visual dalam kondisi dan analisis visual antar kondisi untuk data frekuensi dan durasi, sedangkan data kwalitas dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada fase baseline (A1) rata-rata perilaku agresif yang dilakukan siswa selama waktu 40 menit adalah 35, 5 detik dengan rata-rata frekuensi sebesar 14,25 kali dengan kwalitas perilaku agresif berat. Pada fase Intervensi (B) rata-rata perilaku agresif yang dilakukan siswa selama waktu 40 menit adalah 9,2 detik dengan rata-rata frekuensi sebesar 5,7 kali dengan kwalitas perilaku agresif ringan. Pada fase baseline (A2) rata-rata perilaku agresif yang dilakukan siswa selama waktu 40 menit adalah 15,5 detik dengan rata-rata frekuensi sebesar 7,25 kali dengan kwalitas perilaku agresif ringan
Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa stabilitas pada data frekuensi, durasi fase baseline (A1) setelah diberikan intervensi mengalami kecenderungan penurunan perilaku agresif, sedangkan stabilitas pada data frekuensi dan durasi pada fase intervensi ke fase baseline (A2) mengalami peningkatan perilaku agresif kembali namun tidak sebesar seperti kondisi pada fase baseline (A1). Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa selama fase intervensi ada pengaruh assertive training untuk menurunkan perilaku agresif siswa tunagrahita.

This research was set a background by the finding of aggressive behavior to mild mentally retardation children. This research purpose was to describe the influence of assertive training to reduce the aggressive behavior to mild mentally retardation students of class X SMALB in the state extraordinary school Gedangan. This research used quantitative approach with experiment kind of research with Single Subject Research (SSR). This research design used was A-B-A design. The technique of data collection used observation. The techniques of data analysis used were visual analysis in condition and visual analysis among condition for the data of frequency and duration while the quality data was analyzed by using technique of percentage descriptive.
The research result indicated that in baseline phase (A1) the average aggressive behavior which was done by the students during 40 minutes was 35,5 seconds where the average frequency was 14,25 times with severe quality of aggressive behavior. In intervention phase (B) the average aggressive behavior which was done by the students during 40 minutes was 9,2 seconds where the average frequency was 5,7 times with mild quality of aggressive behavior. In baseline phase (A2) the average aggressive behavior which was done by the students during 40 minutes was 15,5 seconds where the average frequency was 7,25 times with mild quality of aggressive behavior.
This indicated that the stability to the frequency data and the duration data in baseline phase (A1) after being given intervention experienced reducing tendency of aggressive behavior while the stability to the frequency data and duration data in intervention phase to baseline phase (A2) experienced enhancement of aggressive behavior again but it was not as big as in the condition of baseline phase (A1). So, it could be concluded that during the intervention phase, there was influence of assertive training to reduce the aggressive behavior of mentally retardation students.
