Konstruksi Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Mahaguru Karya Damien Dematra. Konstruksi Sosial Peter L Berger. 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konstruksi sosial pada tokoh utama dalam novel Mahaguru karya Damien Dematra berupa proses internalisasi, eksternalisasi, dan objektivasi. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori konstruksi sosial Peter L Berger. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Mahaguru karya Damien Dematra. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik kepustakaan, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik deksriptif analitik. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Internalisasi pada tokoh utama berupa sosiologi primer, sosiologi sekunder, dan proses identifikasi diri (2) Eksternalisasi pada tokoh utama berupa proses adaptasi dan sikap yang dimiliki seperti gigih dalam belajar, menyayangi keluarga, tabah dalam menjalani kehidupan, dan pribadi yang toleran (3) Objektivasi pada tokoh utama berupa kegiatan di Pesantren Tebu Ireng, cara dakwah, ciri khas, dan Pendiri organisasi Nahdlatul Ulama.

This study aims to describe the social construction of the main character in the novel Mahaguru by Damien Dematra in the form of internalization, externalization, and objectivation processes. The theory used is the social construction theory of Peter L Berger. This type of reseach is a qualitatif reseach with a sociology of literature approach. The data source in this research is the novel Mahaguru by Damien Dematra. Data collection techniques used library techniques, while data analysis techniques used analytical descriptive techniques. The results obtained from this study are (1) Internalization of the main character in the form of primary sociology, secondary sociology, and the process of self-identification (2) Externalization of the main character in the form of an adaptation process and attitude possessed such as persistent in learning, loving family, steadfast in living life, and a tolerant personality (3) The objectification of the main character is in the form of activities at the Tebu Ireng Islamic Boarding School, the way of da'wah, characteristics, and the founder of the Nahdlatul Ulama organization.
