Artikel ini mengkaji Penyimpangan Maksim Kesantunan Berbahasa dalam Film Calon Bini dengan mengangkat tiga topik bahasan, yaitu bentuk penyimpangan maksim kesantunan berbahasa, penyebab terjadinya tuturan tidak santun, dan fungsi adanya tuturan tidak santun tersebut dalam film Calon Bini. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis penyimpangan maksim kesantunan berbahasa yaitu teori G. Leech dan Kuntarto. Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian yang diperoleh dari film Calon Bini menggunakan teknik rekam catat dengan peneliti sebagai human instrumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tuturan yang menyimpang dari maksim kesantunan berbahasa dalam film Calon Bini tidak hanya menyimpang dari segi isi tuturan, tetapi juga dari segi pemilihan strategi bertutur oleh penutur. Penyebab tuturan menjadi tidak santun dikarenakan lima faktor, yaitu karena penutur menyampaikan kritik secara langsung kepada lawan tutur, penutur didorong rasa emosi ketika bertutur, penutur protektif terhadap pendapat pribadi, penutur memojokkan lawan tutur, dan penutur menyampaikan tuduhan atas dasar curiga terhadap lawan tutur. Adanya tuturan yang menyimpang dari maksim kesantunan dalam film Calon Bini berfungsi untuk menunjukkan karakter atau watak tokoh, mendukung jalannya cerita, dan untuk memunculkan unsur humor atau komedi dalam film.

This article examines the deviation of the maxim of politeness in the Calon Bini film by raising three topics of discussion, namely the deviation of the maxim of politeness in language, that causes impolite speech, and the function of the compensation in the film Calon Bini. The theory used to analyze the deviation of the maxim of politeness in a language is the theory of G. Leech and Kuntarto. This research is a qualitative descriptive type. The research data obtained from the Calon Bini film used a recording technique with the researcher as a human instrument. The results of the study indicate that the speech that deviates from the maxim of politeness in the film Calon Bini not only deviates from the speech, but also in terms of the selection of speech strategies by the narrative. The cause of impolite speech is due to five factors, namely direct criticism of the interlocutor, judgmental speech, protective speech against narrative, cornering speech, and disclosure on the basis of suspicion against the opponent. The existence of speech that deviates from the maxims of politeness in the Calon Bini film serves to show the character or character of the character, support the story, and to bring out the element of humor in the film.
