ANALYSIS OF THE PERFORMANCE OF 100 METER FREESTYLE ATHLETES AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES: REACTION TIME, SPLIT TIME, END TIME
Penggunaan strategi dalam kejuaraan renang dapat menjadi faktor penting dalam kejuaraan renang terlebih dalam kejuaraan Olimpiade. Tujuan pada penelitian ini untuk menganalisis apakah terdapat perbedaan pada reaction time (RT), Split time (ST), dan final time (FT) dalam lima kali pennyelenggaraan Olimpiade 2004 hingga 2020 pada 2021 pada nomor 100 meter gaya bebas. Penelitian ini juga dilakukan guna untuk memberi gambaran bagi pelatih khususnya di Indonesia untuk mempersiapkan atletnya agar dapat mengikuti ajang kejuaraan Olimpiade diwaktu yang akan datang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literatur yang dimana datanya diambil dari website resmi (https://worldaquatic.org/) . Uji statistik deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini yang dimana datanya disajikan berupa mean dan standart deviasi. Uji normalitas data menggunakan uji Shairo-wilk. Dalam membandingkan antar data digunakan uji One Way Anova. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menemukan bahwasannya selama lima kali Olimpiade terdapat perubahan waktu, sehingga strategi perenang dapat mempengaruhi performa pada penampilan atlet. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwasannya waktu reaksi memberikan dampak terhadap ST pertama.
Using strategy in swimming championships can be an important factor in swimming championships, especially in Olympic championships. The aim of this study was to analyze whether there were differences in reaction time (RT), split time (ST), and final time (FT) in the five Olympics held from 2004 to 2020 in the 100 meter freestyle event. This research was also carried out in order to provide an idea for coaches, especially in Indonesia, to prepare their athletes to be able to take part in Olympic championships in the future. This research uses literature methods, where this research is related to previous research. This research uses secondary data where the data is taken from the official website (https://worldaquatic.org/). Descriptive statistical tests are used in this research where the data is presented in the form of mean and standard deviation. Test data normality using the Shapiro-Wilk test. To compare data, the One Way Anova test was used. The results of this study found that during the five Olympics there were changes in time, so that the swimmer's strategy could influence the athlete's performance. This research also found that reaction time had an influence on the first ST.
