Simulation of Chemical Injection Automation System for Coal Waste Treatment Efficiency based on TIA Portal V17

Sungai merupakan komponen yang penting bagi kelangsungan makhluk hidup terutama manusia. Sungai dikatakan tercemar jika kualitas airnya tidak sesuai dengan peruntukannya. Pengolahan air limbah secara garis besar merupakan upaya pemisahan padatan tersuspensi (TSS), pemisahan senyawa koloid, serta penghilangan senyawa polutan terlarut. Sistem dosing koagulan pada sebagian besar WTP masih mengadopsi metode kontrol manual berdasarkan proporsi aliran air yang tetap, akibatnya takaran koagulan tidak bisa diatur sesuai dengan perubahan kualitas air baku dan aliran air yang fluktuatif.

Permasalahan yang harus diselesaikan adalah bagaimana cara meningkatkan akurasi dosing pump, sehingga bisa meminimalisir adanya kesalahan dosis serta meningkatkan efisiensi chemical injection. Juga perubahan angka TSS yang menyebabkan dosis injeksi tidak selalu sama. Masalah ini dapat diselesaikan dengan automation system.

Automation system dapat mengolah sinyal sensor dan parameter lain secara cepat dan presisi, dengan bantuan program PLC S7-1200 CPU 1215c AD/DC/Rly dan PID controller, nilai error pada sistem bisa diminimalisir. Automation system juga dapat menghitung dosis secara akurat dan real-time, yang mampu merespon kebutuhan dosis yang fluktuatif menjadi perubahan dosis yang digunakan dalam satu waktu. Dibantu dengan visualisasi HMI Unified yang baik dan user friendly, maka pengolahan limbah dengan dosing pump akan menjadi lebih optimal.

River is an important component for the survival of living things, especially humans. It is said that a river is polluted if its water quality is not in accordance with its designation. Wastewater treatment is largely an effort to separate suspended solids (TSS), separate colloidal compounds, and remove dissolved pollutant compounds. The coagulant dosing system in most WTPs still adopts a manual control method based on a fixed proportion of water flow, as a result the coagulant dose cannot be adjusted according to changes in raw water quality and fluctuating water flow.

The problem to be solved is how to improve the accuracy of the dosing pump, so as to minimize dosing errors and improve the efficiency of chemical injection. Also, changes in TSS values cause the injection dose to not always be the same. This problem can be solved with an automation system.

Automation system can process sensor signals and other parameters quickly and precisely, with the support of PLC S7-1200 CPU 1215c AD/DC/Rly program and PID controller, the error value in the system can be minimized. The automation system can also calculate the dose accurately and in real-time, which is able to respond to fluctuating dose requirements into changes in the dose used at one time. Assisted by Unified HMI visualization that is good and user friendly, the sewage treatment with dosing pump will be more optimal.
