Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah produk media pembelajaran pop up card cerita rakyat yang berkualitas untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata dan keterampilan membaca kritis siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan model 4-D Thiagarajan dengan empat tahap yakni tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (disseminate).
Media pop up card yang telah dikembangkan diujicobakan pada siswa kelas IV SDN Sukomanunggal III Surabaya tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Variabel penelitian ini adalah kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan media pop up card cerita rakyat. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui lembar validasi, observasi, angket dan tes. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design.
Hasil kualitas pengembangan media berdasarkan kevalidan diperoleh nilai persentase 92% dengan kategori sangat berkuallitas. Kualitas kepraktisan diperoleh nilai persentase 94% dan keefektifan pengembangan media diperoleh nilai t hitung > t tabel pada penguasaan kosakata diperoleh nilai t = 10,443> 2,064 kemudian pada ketermpilan membaca kritis diperoleh nilai t = 8,065 > 2,064. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media pop up card cerita rakyat efektif meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata dan keterampilan membaca kritis.

This research aims to produce a learning product of media pop up card folklore which is quality to improve vocabulary mastery and critical reading skills of grade IV students elementary School. This development study was implemented using the Model 4-D Thiagarajan with four stages namely the define, design, development, and disseminate.
Media pop up card that has been developed tested in grade IV students of primary school of Sukomanunggal III Surabaya, academic year 2019/2020. This research variable is the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the media pop up card folklore. The research data is obtained through validation sheets, observations, polls, and tests. This research uses a one-group pretest-posttest design.
Results of the quality of media development based on validity and obtained percentage value of 92% with a category of very qualified. Practicality quality obtained percentage value of 94% and the effectiveness of the development of media acquired value Tcount > Ttable on vocabulary mastery acquired value T = 10,443 > 2,064 Then on reciting critical reading obtained value T = 8,065 > 2,064. It shows that the media pop up card folklore effectively enhances vocabulary mastery and critical reading skills.
