ANALISIS TREN FEAR OF MISSING OUT (FOMO) TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR PJOK SISWA KELAS XI DI SMK SEMEN GRESIK
TREND ANALYSIS OF FEAR OF MISSING OUT (FOMO) TOWARDS STUDENTS' INTEREST IN LEARNING PHYSICS CLASS XI AT SMK SEMEN GRESIK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri dampak tren Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) terhadap minat siswa kelas XI di SMK Semen Gresik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan (PJOK). (FoMO) merupakan kondisi psikologis yang ditandai dengan rasa cemas karena takut tertinggal dari pengalaman penting yang dialami orang lain, terutama akibat penggunaan media sosial yang berlebihan. Fenomena ini diperkirakan memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap motivasi dan ketertarikan siswa terhadap mata pelajaran PJOK. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan responden siswa kelas XI dan instrumen berupa angket untuk mengukur tingkat (FoMO) serta minat belajar PJOK. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki tingkat (FoMO) yang cukup tinggi, yang berdampak pada penurunan minat mereka terhadap pelajaran PJOK. Beberapa faktor seperti larangan bermain sepak bola saat pelajaran PJOK serta jadwal yang kurang mendukung turut memperkuat dampak negatif (FoMO). Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya peran aktif sekolah dan guru dalam menangani pengaruh (FoMO), melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran yang lebih menarik serta edukasi literasi digital agar siswa tetap semangat dan terlibat dalam kegiatan PJOK. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi para pendidik dalam merancang strategi intervensi yang efektif guna meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di era digital saat ini. This study aims to explore the impact of the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) trend on the interest of grade XI students at SMK Semen Gresik in participating in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning. (FoMO) is a psychological condition characterized by anxiety due to fear of being left behind from important experiences experienced by others, especially due to excessive use of social media. This phenomenon is thought to have a negative impact on students' motivation and interest in PJOK subjects. The approach used in this study was quantitative descriptive, with respondents being grade XI students and an instrument in the form of a questionnaire to measure the level of (FoMO) and interest in learning PJOK. The results of the analysis showed that students had a fairly high level of (FoMO), which had an impact on decreasing their interest in PJOK lessons. Several factors such as the prohibition of playing football during PJOK lessons and an unsupportive schedule also strengthen the negative impact (FoMO).These findings emphasize the importance of the active role of schools and teachers in dealing with the influence of (FoMO), through the implementation of more interesting learning methods and digital literacy education so that students remain enthusiastic and involved in PJOK activities. This research is expected to be a reference for educators in designing effective intervention strategies to increase students' interest in learning in today's digital era.
