Kurikulum 2013 lebih menekankan pola pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Ekologi merupakan salah satu materi yang dipelajari di kelas X SMA. Media berbasis Android merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran alternatif yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran materi Ekologi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media berbasis android Ekopedia sebagai media belajar yang valid, praktis, dan efektif pada materi Ekologi yang layak secara teoretis dan empiris. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ASSURE. Kelayakan teoretis diperoleh berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh dosen ahli Media Pembelajaran dan ahli Ekologi. Kelayakan empiris diperoleh berdasarkan kepraktisan dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran serta angket respons siswa dan keefektifan berdasarkan hasil belajar pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media berbasis android Ekopedia sangat layak dengan skor rata-rata 3,75 yang berada pada kategori sangat valid. Media berbasis android Ekopedia sangat praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan penggunaan media sebesar 100% dan hasil respons siswa sebesar 91,7%. Media berbasis android Ekopedia sangat efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran ditinjau dari ketuntasan indikator hasil belajar siswa sebesar 84,2%. Secara teoretis serta empiris media berbasis android Ekopedia terbukti valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

The Curriculum 2013 emphasizes more on technology-based. Ecology is one of topic learned in Grade X Senior High School. Media based on android is one of the alternative learning media that can be used to teach the topic of Ecology. Based on this, a study was conducted which aimed to produce a android based media Ekopedia as a learning media that is valid, practical, and effective on ecology topic theoretically and empirically compatibility. This study was a developmental research which was referred to ASSURE model. The compatibility theori was obtained based on the results of validation by lecturers of ecologists and media experts. Empirical eligibility is obtained based on the practicality of the implementation of learning and student questionnaire responses and effectiveness based on pretest and posttest learning outcomes. The results showed that the Android-based media Ekopedia is very feasible with an average score of 3.75 which fits in the very valid category. Android based media Ekopedia is very practical to use in learning in terms of the use of media by 100% and the results of student responses by 91.7%. Android based media Ekopedia is very effective to use in learning in terms of completeness indicators of student learning outcomes by 84.2%. Theoretically and empirically the Android-based media Ekopedia is proven to be valid, practical, and effective in learning activities.
