Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran IPA melalui Website Google Sites Berbantuan PhET Interactive Simulations Materi Perubahan Energi terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar

Development of Science Learning Media through the Google Sites Website with the Assistance of PhET Interactive Simulations Material on Energy Changes on Learning Outcomes for Class IV Elementary School Students

Media pembelajaran memiliki peran krusial dalam meningkatkan keberhasilan dalam proses pembelajaran, memungkinkan peserta didik untuk terlibat secara langsung dalam eksplorasi, diskusi, dan pemecahan masalah. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan masih terbatas, padahal siswa cenderung lebih tertarik belajar menggunakan perangkat teknologi. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan siswa tidak terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran, terutama yang gaya belajarnya visual atau kinestetik. Sehingga dibutuhkan inovasi media pembelajaran yang mampu memberikan fasilitas untuk memberikan pemahaman yang utuh.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan sistem pendidikan Indonesia yang konsisten, berinovasi, dan memperbaiki, salah satunya dengan mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang efektif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa di kelas empat sekolah dasar. Sehingga dengan adanya penelitian ini, dapat mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran IPA melalui website Google Sites berbantuan PhET Interactive Simulations materi perubahan energi terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar.

Metodologi penelitian yang dipilih adalah reseach and development (R&D), dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kelayakan media pembelajaran IPA, tetapi dapat dikatakan layak apabila telah memenuhi standart kevalidan, keefektifan, serta kepraktisan. Data kevalidan melalui uji validitas dari ahli materi dan media memperoleh presentase yang sama yakni 90,5% dengan kriteria “sangat valid”. Data keefektifan diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan postest, yang dihitung dengan uji normalitas, uji t, dan uji N-gain. Pada kelas kontrol presentasenya 27,88% “tidak efektif”, sedangkan kelas eksperimen presentasenya 66,15% “cukup efektif”. Data kepraktisan memperoleh rata-rata presentase 86,4% dengan kriteria “sangat praktis”. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran melalui website google sites berbantuan simulasi interaktif PhET dikatakan layak untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar.

Learning media has a crucial role in increasing success in the learning process, allowing students to be directly involved in exploration, discussion, and problem-solving. The learning media used is still limited, even though students tend to be more interested in learning using technological devices. This condition causes students not to be involved in the learning process, especially those whose learning style is visual or kinesthetic. So innovation in learning media is needed that can provide facilities to provide complete understanding.

This research aims to develop an Indonesian education system that is consistent, innovative, and improved, one of which is by developing effective learning media that suits the needs of students in the fourth grade of elementary school. So with this research, we can find out the feasibility of science learning media through the Google Sites website with the help of PhET Interactive Simulations material on energy changes on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students.

The research methodology chosen is research and development (R&D), with the ADDIE (Analyze) development model, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research aims to test the feasibility of science learning media, but it can be said to be feasible if it meets the standards of validity, effectiveness, and practicality. Validity data through validity tests from material and media experts obtained the same percentage, namely 90.5%, with the "very valid" criteria. Effectiveness data was obtained from the pretest and posttest results, which were calculated using the normality, t-test, and N-gain tests. In the control class, the percentage was 27.88% "not effective", while in the experimental class, the percentage was 66.15% "quite effective". Practicality data obtained an average rate of 86.4% with the criteria "very practical". Thus, it can be concluded that learning media via the Google Sites website assisted by PhET interactive simulations is said to be feasible for improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students.
