The Effect of Self-Efficacy and Education on Entrepreneurial Intention of UNESA Economics Education Students
The high unemployment rate among college graduates in Indonesia has made a slow recovery after the pandemic hit, besides this has an impact on the increasing poverty rate. This study analyzes the effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention of economics education study program students at Surabaya State University. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 108 students from the class of 2020 and 2021. The results of the analysis show that entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurship education have a significant effect on student entrepreneurial intentions. These findings support the hypothesis that increasing entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurship education can encourage entrepreneurial intentions. The implication is the importance of improving self-efficacy and entrepreneurship education in higher education to encourage entrepreneurial intention. Thus, this study contributes to overcoming the difficulty of finding jobs faced by graduates and increasing entrepreneurial potential among students.
