THE DEVELOPMENT OF CAI (COMPUTER ASSISTED
INSTRUCTION) MEDIA IN THE STUDY OF 2 DIMENSION AND 3 DIMENSIONS ANIMATION
TECHNIQUES OF THE 3 DIMENSION BASIC OBJECT CONCEPT MATERIALS IN THE DESIGN

CAI
(Computer Assisted Instruction) is a computer-based learning media. The purpose
of this study was to produce CAI media development on 2 Dimensional Animation
Engineering subjects and 3 subject matter dimensions Basic Concepts of 3
Dimensional Objects in Design Sketches for Multimedia Class XI Students at SMK
Negeri 1 Jombang.
The
development model used by researchers was the R&D development model
(Research and Development) by Borg and Gall. The media trial activity was
carried out in several stages, namely the testing phase for material experts,
media experts, individual trial, small group trials, and large group trials.
The instruments of data collection used interviews, questionnaires, and tests.
The results of the
feasibility tests conducted with material experts got a percentage of 92.86%,
feasibility tests with media experts got a percentage of 100%, individual
trials 96.29%, small group trials 95.37%, and large group trials 93.12%. To
test the effectiveness of the media, using the Pre-experimental Design research
with One Group Pretest-Posttest, and the results of the tests proved that the
average of pretest results were 70.33. Based on testing using a significant
level of 5% db = 30-1 = 29, then obtained t table = 1.69 and the results
of t count = 34.37. So, t count is greater than t table which is 34.37>
1.69. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of CAI (Computer Assisted
Instruction) media that is developed is effective for learning.
