The study aims to
determine the effect of problem-based learning in a flipped classroom
environment and learning motivation on learning independence and problem
solving skills in Fiqh Class VII subjects at MTsN 1 Jombang.
The research method used
is quantitative method with quasi experimental research type with nonequivalent
pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects were 258 children
and a sample of 128 children was taken, divided into experimental groups
totalling 64 and control groups totalling 64. The experimental group applied problem-based
learning in a flipped classroom environment and the control group applied
conventional learning. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and
tests. Data analysis techniques assisted by SPSS and Microsoft Excel, normality
test using Kolmogorov-Spirnov, homogeneity test with Levene Statistic, and
hypothesis testing with MANOVA test.
The results showed that
problem based learning in a flipped classroom environment has an effect on
learning independence, problem based learning in a flipped classroom
environment has an effect on students' problem solving skills, there is an
effect of learning motivation on learning independence, there is an effect of
learning motivation on problem solving
skills, there is an interaction of problem based learning in a flipped
classroom environment andlearning motivation on learning independence, there is
an interaction of problem based learning in a flipped classroom environment and
learning motivation on problem solving skills.
It can be concluded that
problem-based learning in a flipped classroom environment and learning
motivation has an effect compared to conventional learning and learning
motivation on learning independence and problem solving skills in Fiqh class
VII at MTsN 1 Jombang
