Improving Phase F Students Learning Outcomes In Mens Trouser Pattern Making Using Video Tutorials At SMKN Rengel Tuban
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik Fase F di SMKN Rengel Tuban pada mata pelajaran Desain Produksi Busana, khususnya pada kompetensi pembuatan pola celana pantalon pria yang memiliki tingkat kesulitan yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan media video tutorial, mengukur keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan model Direct Instruction dengan media video tutorial, serta mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran tersebut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kurt Lewin yang meliputi empat tahapan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 28 peserta didik kelas Fase F Program Keahlian Desain Produksi Busana 2 di SMKN Rengel Tuban pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen tes tertulis (ranah kognitif), tes kinerja atau praktik (ranah psikomotorik), serta lembar pengamatan untuk keterlaksanaan aktivitas guru dan peserta didik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) media video tutorial yang dikembangkan dikategorikan sangat layak digunakan dengan perolehan rata-rata skor kelayakan media sebesar 3,80 dan kelayakan materi sebesar 3,83 dari skor maksimal 4,00. (2) Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan positif, di mana rata-rata skor aktivitas guru naik dari 3,43 (Siklus I) menjadi 3,83 (Siklus II), dan rata-rata skor aktivitas peserta didik meningkat dari 3,53 (Siklus I) menjadi 3,90 (Siklus II), keduanya masuk dalam kategori Sangat Baik. (3) Penerapan media video tutorial terbukti efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar secara signifikan. Nilai rata-rata kelas peserta didik naik dari 65,78 pada Siklus I menjadi 89,50 pada Siklus II. Ketuntasan belajar klasikal juga mengalami peningkatan dari 7,14% (hanya 2 peserta didik yang tuntas KKM ≥ 80) pada Siklus I menjadi 100% tuntas (seluruh 28 peserta didik berhasil mencapai KKM) pada Siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media video tutorial dalam pembelajaran Direct Instruction efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar pada kompetensi pembuatan pola celana pantalon pria.

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of Phase F students at SMKN Rengel Tuban in the Clothing Design and Production subject, particularly in the competence of making men’s pantalon trousers patterns, which has a high level of complexity. The purpose of this study was to describe the feasibility of the video tutorial media, measure the implementation of learning using the Direct Instruction model with video tutorial media, and determine the improvement in student learning outcomes after participating in the learning process. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kurt Lewin model, which includes four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 28 Phase F students of the Clothing Design and Production 2 Expertise Program at SMKN Rengel Tuban in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through written test instruments (cognitive domain), performance or practical tests (psychomotor domain), and observation sheets for the implementation of teacher and student activities. The data analysis technique used was descriptive quantitative analysis. The results showed that: (1) The developed video tutorial media was categorised as Highly Feasible for use, obtaining an average media feasibility score of 3.80 and a material feasibility score of 3.83 out of a maximum score of 4.00. (2) The implementation of learning experienced a positive increase, where the average teacher activity score rose from 3.43. (Cycle I) to 3.83 (Cycle II), and the average student activity score increased from 3.53 (Cycle I) to 3.90 (Cycle II), both falling into the Very Good category. (3) The application of video tutorial media was proven effective in significantly increasing learning outcomes. The class average score of students rose from 65.78 in Cycle I to 89.50 in Cycle II. Classical learning completeness also experienced an increase from 7.14% (only 2 students passed the KKM ≥ 80) in Cycle I to 100% complete (all 28 students successfully achieved the KKM) in Cycle II. Based on their results, it can be concluded that the use of video tutorial media within the Direct Instruction model is effective in improving the quality of the process and learning outcomes in the competence of making men’s pantalon trousers patterns.
