Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh permainan yang layak sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi Hidrokarbon kelas XI SMA berdasarkan validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan permainan. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian dan pengembangan terdiri atas tiga tahap antara lain (1) Studi pendahuluan, (2) Pengembangan dan validitas teoritis, (3) Uji coba permainan. Penelitian dilakukan di Jurusan Kimia Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Surabaya dan kelas XI IPA 5 SMA Negeri 1 Driyorejo, Gresik. Uji coba permainan menggunakan sistem one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase validitas yang diperoleh pada setiap indikator penilaian sebesar 75%-100%. Persentase kepraktisan yang diperoleh dari hasil observasi siswa dan hasil respon siswa berada pada kategori sangat praktis dengan masing-masing memperoleh persentase sebesar 87% dan 90,6%. Keefektifan permainan diperoleh dari ketuntasan individu maupun klasikal pada hasil belajar siswa tercapai dan hasil motivasi siswa memperoleh persentase keefektifan sebesar 94,5%. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh permainan House of Chemistry dapat dikatakan layak sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi Hidrokarbon kelas XI SMA
The purpose of this study is to get a game that feasible as a learning media in the subject matter of Hydrocarbon for eleventh grade of Student Senior High School based on validity, practicality and effectiveness of the game. The method used in this study is the method of research and development consists of three stages, including (1) preliminary study, (2) development and theoretical validity, (3) game trials. The study was conducted in Chemistry Faculty of Mathematics and Science State University of Surabaya and eleventh grade of Student Senior High School 1 Driyorejo, Gresik. The game trial using one group pretest-posttest design system. The results of the study show the percentage of validity obtained in each assessment indicator is 75% -100%. The practicality percentage obtained from student observations and student response results is in the very practical category with each of them gaining a percentage of 87% and 90.6%. The effectiveness of the game obtained from individual and classical completeness on student learning outcomes is achieved and the results of student motivation get a percentage of effectiveness of 94.5%. Based on the results obtained by the game House of Chemistry can be said to be feasible as a learning media in the subject matter of Hydrocarbon for eleventh grade of Student Senior High School
