Penataan Area Exit Terminal Purabaya Sebagai Upaya Perbaikan Kinerja Jalan Raya Waru
Exit Area Redesign Of Purabaya Terminal To Improve Jalan Raya Waru Performance
Purabaya Terminal serves as a major land transportation hub in Surabaya. However, the terminal's exit area often causes traffic congestion on Jalan Raya Waru due to unregulated vehicle movements and high roadside friction. This study aims to analyze the performance of Jalan Raya Waru around the terminal exit and propose layout recommendations to improve road performance. The method employed is a descriptive quantitative approach with a case study. Primary data were obtained through field surveys, including road geometry, traffic volume, and roadside friction. Secondary data were collected from relevant agencies. The analysis follows the PKJI 2023 guidelines, focusing on road capacity and degree of saturation (DS). The results show that the road's performance is poor, with a DS value of 1.73, exceeding the ideal threshold. The proposed recommendations geometric improvements and vehicle circulation management significantly enhance road performance. A five-year simulation indicates that implementing these measures may help maintain traffic stability in the area.
