Dalam perkembangannya di era saat ini olahraga bola basket cukup popular dan sudah tidak asing lagi di telinga masyarakat Indonesia, dapat dibuktikan dengan antusiasme terhadap kompetisi Asian Games 2018. Dimana pada tahun 2018 Indonesia menjadi tuan rumah kompetisi ini untuk kedua kalinya. Dalam setiap pertandingan menjadi prioritas utama dalam meraih predikat juara, sehingga frekuensi kemenangan tim dapat diraih seoptimal mungkin. Produktifitas skor disini berbanding lurus dengan kemampuan pemain dalam menguasi teknik-teknik dasar dalam bola basket khusunya teknik dasar shooting yang memiliki peran penting terhadap kemenangan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi berapa besar efektivitas free throw (shooting 1 point), shooting two point, dan three point serta mengetahui posisi yang efektif untuk melakukan shooting.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskrptif kuantitatif.  Proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan mengambil data sekunder berupa dokumen hasil statistik beserta video pertandingan semi final dan final serta pertandingan tim Indonesia Asian Games 2018.  

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Dalam free throw (shooting 1 point), tim pertandingan semifinal dan final memiliki rata-rata efektivitas sebesar 85% sedangkan tim Indonesia memiliki rata-rata efektivitas sebesar 71%. 2) Dalam shooting 2 point, tim pertandingan semifinal dan final memiliki rata-rata efektivitas sebesar 44% sedangkan tim Indonesia memiliki rata-rata efektivitas sebesar 36%. 3) Dalam shooting 3 point, tim pertandingan semifinal dan final memiliki rata-rata efektivitas sebesar 41% sedangkan tim Indonesia memiliki rata-rata efektivitas sebesar 22%. 4) Posisi yang efektif untuk melakukan shooting adalah pada posisi low paint, free throw dan high post, serta 3 point center yang masing-masing ketiga posisi tersebut memiliki persentase sebesar 54%,72%, dan 53%.

In development of the current era, basketball is quite popular for Indonesian people, as a proof the enthusiasm of the 2018 Asian Games competition. Where in 2018, Indonesia hosted the competition for the second time. In each match it is a top priority in winning the title, so the frequency of team wins can be achieved as optimally. Score productivity here is directly proportional to the player's ability to master basic techniques in basketball, especially basic shooting techniques that have an important role to play for winning the game. The purpose of this study was to obtain information on the effectiveness of the free throw (1 point shooting), shooting two points, and three points and find out the effective position for shooting.

This research is quantitative descriptive research. The data collection process is carried out by taking secondary data in the form of statistical results documents along with videos of semi-final and final matches and matches of the 2018 Indonesian Asian Games team.

The results of this study indicate that: 1) free throw (shooting 1 point) make an average effectiveness of 85% while the Indonesian team has an average effectiveness of 71%. 2) 2 points shoot, the semifinal and final match teams have an average effectiveness of 44% while the Indonesian team has an average effectiveness of 36%. 3) 3 points shoot, the semifinal and final match teams have an average effectiveness of 41% while the Indonesian team has an average effectiveness of 22%. 4) The effective position for shooting is at low paint, free throw, high post positions, and 3 point centers, with 54%, 72%, and 53% of effectiveness.
