Geguritan sebagai salah satu karya dari sastra Jawa modern, yang berkembang di masyarakat. Hal yang menarik dari antologi geguritan Serendipiti Astabrata yaitu kalimat yang terangkai menggunakan kalimat yang indah tetapi masih mudah untuk dipahami. Penulis menggambarkan keadaan masyarakat yang selaras dengan kondisi sosial dengan mewujudkan sebagian tema, khususnya tema sosial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan kritik sosial yang terjadi, khusunya di hal pengajaran, pejabat, dan keadaan sosial yang kompleks dalam bebrayan. Teori yang akan digunakan yaitu teori sosiologi sastra dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka. Penelitian mengenai kritik sosial dikupas dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang mengarah pada masalah sosial yang nyata. Penjelasan dalam penelitian ini mewujudkan data-data berupa kata-kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang diambil dari antologi geguritan Serendipiti Astabrata karya Asti Pradnya Ratri. Hasil penelitian ini diantaranya yaitu kritik sosial terhadap pengajaran dalam antologi geguritan Serendipiti Astabrata. Kritik sosial terhadap pejabat dalam antologi geguritan Serendipiti Astabrata. Dan kritik sosial terhadap keadaan masyarakat dalam antologi geguritan Serendipiti Astabrata.

Poetry as one of the modern Javanese literary works that developed in society. The interesting thing about the poetry anthology Serendipiti Astabrata is that the sentences are arranged using beautiful vocabulary but are still easy to understand. The author describes the state of society that is in harmony with social conditions which is manifested in several themes, especially social themes. The purpose of this study is to explain the social criticism that occurs, especially in terms of teaching, officials, and complex social conditions in society. The theory used to examine is the theory of sociology of literature by using the literature study method. Research on social criticism is described by using qualitative descriptive methods that lead to real social problems. The explanation in this study is in the form of data in the form of words, phrases, and sentences taken from the poetry anthology Serendipiti Astabrata by Asti Pradnya Ratri. The results of this study are social criticism of teaching in the poetry anthology Serendipiti Astabrata. Social criticism of officials in the poetry anthology Serendipiti Astabrata. And social criticism of the state of society in the poetry anthology Serendipiti Astabrata.
