This research aims to describe the implementation of
strengthening religious character and discipline through the habituation of
reciting Qur'an together before learning, with case studies at SMP Negeri 1
Ngraho and SMP Negeri 1 Kasiman in Bojonegoro Regency. This research is
motivated by the fact that many educational institutions conduct Qur'an
recitation habituation, yet in reality, not all educational institutions
implement this habituation consistently to strengthen religious and discipline
character.
This research employs a qualitative approach with a
multi-site study method. Data collection techniques include interviews,
observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses the analytical model
developed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, consisting of data condensation,
data display, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that
through the habituation of reciting Qur'an together, the strengthening of
religious character and discipline achieved includes improvement in Qur'an
memorization, prayer worship, tolerance, worship discipline, and moral
character.
Supporting factors include the role of teachers,
parents/guardians of students, and adequate facilities and infrastructure,
while inhibiting factors include water puddles on the field, unavailability of
Juz Amma, power outages, and student boredom due to monotonous activities.
