ANALYSIS OF SCIENCE LEARNING IN ADIWIYATA SCHOOL: CASE STUDY AT SMPN 1 SIDOARJO
Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan strategi, kebijakan, dan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran IPA di sekolah adiwiyata dalam menumbuhkan sikap peduli lingkungan pada siswa. Jenis penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif berdesain studi kasus tunggal (single case study). Dengan sasaran penelitian yang melibatkan satu kepala sekolah, satu guru selaku ketua adiwiyata, satu guru mata pelajaran IPA, serta 32 siswa dari kelas 7E. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan triangulasi data berupa observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan strategi sekaligus kebijakan yang diterapkan sekolah melalui dokumen dan sarana prasarana telah sesuai indikator perencanaan serta pelaksanaan gerakan peduli dan berbudaya lingkungan hidup, sehingga mampu mempertahankan predikat sekolah adiwiyata provinsi hingga saat ini. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran IPA di sekolah adiwiyata dapat menumbuhkan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa dengan menerapkan 1) tujuan pembelajaran berlandaskan lingkungan yang dibuat sesuai capaian pembelajaran, 2) bahan ajar dan media pembelajaran dikaitkan isu lingkungan 3) model pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan yang menekankan keaktifan siswa atau Student Centered Learning, 4) pembelajaran memadukan konseptual serta prosedural dalam masalah lingkungan, 5) penugasan berkaitan lingkungan, 6) pembuatan karya sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran, 7) pengetahuan lingkungan hidup untuk mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan. Sikap peduli lingkungan siswa sekolah adiwiyata mendapatkan hasil persentase sangat peduli pada aspek konservasi air yang rata-ratanya 86,64%, sedangkan kurang peduli ada pada aspek pemeliharaan pohon atau tanaman yang rata-ratanya 70,14%. Demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa SMPN 1 Sidoarjo telah menerapkan program adiwiyata secara berkelanjutan dan partisipatif yang terintegrasi dalam dokumen, kegiatan, sarana prasarana, dan pembelajaran IPA berbasis lingkungan hidup sehingga dapat menumbuhkan sikap peduli lingkungan pada siswa.

The purpose of this study was to describe the strategies, policies, and implementation of science learning in adiwiyata schools in fostering environmental awareness in students. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative design with a single case study. With research targets involving one school principal, one teacher as head of the adiwiyata, one science subject teacher, and 32 students from class 7E. The data collection technique uses data triangulation in the form of observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results of the research show that the strategies and policies implemented by the school through documents and infrastructure are in accordance with planning indicators and implementation of the Environmental Care and Culture Movement, so that it is able to maintain the title of provincial adiwiyata school to date. The implementation of science learning at Adiwiyata schools can foster students' environmental care attitudes by implementing 1) environmentally based learning objectives that are created according to learning outcomes, 2) teaching materials and learning media linked to environmental issues 3) learning models using an approach that emphasizes student activity or Student Centered Learning , 4) learning to combine conceptual and procedural issues in environmental problems, 5) assignments related to the environment, 6) making work in accordance with learning objectives, 7) environmental knowledge to overcome environmental problems. The environmental care attitude of Adiwiyata school students resulted in a percentage of being very concerned about the aspect of water conservation, which was an average of 86.64%, while they were less concerned about the aspect of maintaining trees or plants, which was an average of 70.14%. Thus it can be concluded that SMPN 1 Sidoarjo has implemented the adiwiyata program in a sustainable and participatory manner which is integrated in documents, activities, infrastructure and environmentally based science learning so that it can foster an environmentally caring attitude in students.
