Made Sanjaya, M.Si.Kata Kunci : ELITE, model diskusi, literasi sainsPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan ELITE (e-book literasi) yang layak ditinjau dari kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan dalam meningkatkan literasi sains. Design pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate (ADDIE). Teknik pengumpulan data melalui validasi, observasi dan angket. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Siti Aminah Surabaya kelas 7. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif, analisis hasil respon siswa dan uji n-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan a) kevalidan ELITE berkategori sangat valid; b) kepraktisan ELITE berkategori sangat baik; c) keefektifan ELITE dalam meningkatkan literasi sains diukur dengan dua indikator. Untuk indikator menjelaskan fenomena secara ilmiah termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan indikator menginterpretasikan data dan bukti secara ilmiah juga termasuk dalam kategori sedang, sedangkan keefektifan berdasarkan respon peserta didik berkategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil di atas maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media ELITE yang dikembangkan dan diintegrasi dengan model diskusi layak digunakan untuk melatihkan literai sains siswa SMP pada materi tata surya.

Made Sanjaya, M.Sc.Keyword : ELITE, discussion, scientific literacyThis research is a research development that aims to produce ELITE (e-book literacy) that deserves to be reviewed from the validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving scientific literacy. The development design used is Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate (ADDIE). Data collection techniques through validation, observation and questionnaires. The study was conducted at Siti Aminah Middle School Surabaya in grade 7. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively, analysis of student response results and n-gain test. The results showed a) the validity of the ELITE category was very valid; b) the practicality of the ELITE category is very good; c) the effectiveness of ELITE in increasing scientific literacy is measured by two indicators. Indicators for explaining phenomena scientifically are included in the medium category and indicators for interpreting data and scientific evidence are also included in the moderate category, while effectiveness based on student responses is categorized very well. Based on the above results, it can be concluded that the ELITE media developed and integrated with the discussion model is appropriate to be used to train junior high school students' scientific literatures on solar material.
