Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengungkapkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat pada novel Serial Anak Nusantara “Si Anak Spesial” karya Tere Liye dan relevansi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter tersebut dalam pembentukan karakter anak Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara membaca secara keseluruhan isi novel, menentukan kutipan, memilih data, dan analisis melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan membuat kesimpulan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Nilai-nilai pendidikan pendidikan karakter yang terdapat pada novel Serial Anak Nusantara “Si Anak Spesial” karya Tere Liye diantaranya, yaitu religius, jujur, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat atau komunikatif, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab dan 2) Relevansi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada novel Serial Anak Nusantara “Si Anak Spesial” karya Tere Liye bagi pembentukan karakter anak sekolah dasar terdiri dari empat unsur pembentukan karakter, yaitu agama, Pancasila, budaya, dan tujuan pendidikan nasional.

This research is aims to determine the character education values contained in the Nusantara Children’s Novel Series “Si Anak Spesial” by Tere Liye and the relevance of these character education values in character building for elementary school children. This type of research is qualitative research with a library approach. Data collection was carried out by reading the entire contents of the novel, determining quotes, selecting data, and analyzing through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of data analysis show that: 1) The educational values of character education contained in the Nusantara Children’s Novel Series “Si Anak Spesial” by Tere Liye include namely religious, honest, disciplined, hard work, creativity, independent, curious, national spirit, love of the country, appreciate achievement, be friendly of communicative, like to read, care for the environment, care for society, and responsibility and, 2) the relevance of the character education values in the Nusantara Children’s Novel Series “Si Anak Spesial” by Tere Liye for the character building of elementary school children consists of four element of character building, namely religion, Pancasila, culture, and national education goals.
