This
study aims to identify the influence of health information systems (HIS) and
work motivation on employee satisfaction and performance at Puskesmas Dinas
Kesehatan Kota Surabaya, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. This
research adopts a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were
collected through questionnaires distributed to 317 respondents selected using
cluster random sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted using
Structural Equation Model (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) to test the research
hypotheses. The results show that HIS not significantly influences employee job
satisfaction. Work motivation
significantly affects job satisfaction. Additionally, this study finds
that HIS not significantly effects employee performance, but work motivation
positively impact employee performance. Job satisfaction also significantly
influences employee performance. Job satisfaction is not proven to mediate the
influence of HIS on employee performance, but mediates the influence of work
motivation on employee performance. This study provides practical implications
for Puskesmas management and policymakers in the health sector to focus on
developing effective HIS and work motivation programs to enhance employee
satisfaction and performance.
