PENGARUH LATIHAN CIRCUIT TRAINING TERHADAP AEROBIC ENDURANCE PADA ATLET FUTSAL PUTRA DI SMK MAHARDHIKA SURABAYA
THE EFFECT OF CIRCUIT TRAINING ON AEROBIC ENDURANCE IN MALE FUTSAL ATHLETES AT SMK MAHARDHIKA SURABAYA

Aerobic endurance is an important physical component for futsal players, considering the high tempo and relatively long duration of the game. This study aims to determine whether circuit training can improve aerobic endurance in male futsal athletes at SMK Mahardhika Surabaya. The quantitative method used was a one-group pretest–posttest design. A sample of 15 students was selected using total sampling techniques and inclusion and exclusion criteria. BMI status was calculated based on a comparison of body weight and height, with an average BMI of 19.98, which is considered normal for adolescents aged 15–18 years. The research instrument was the Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test. The treatment consisted of a circuit training program given 3 times a week for 1 month. Data analysis was carried out using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test to examine data distribution, followed by a paired sample t-test, with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed a significant increase in athletes' aerobic endurance after being given circuit training. This is evidenced by the increase in the Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test results from 41.4093 to 42.9420. The results of this study prove that the circuit training program improves the aerobic endurance of male futsal athletes at SMK Mahardhika Surabaya.
