This research aims to examine the influence of Financial
Knowledge, Financial Attitude, Locus of Control and Income on Financial
Management Behavior (Case Study of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in Magetan
Regency). The object of this research is non-teacher ASN in Magetan Regency
with income coming from salaries and TPP and using purposive sampling
techniques. The total number of respondents obtained was 317 respondents by
distributing questionnaires online and offline. This research uses a
quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in AMOS software.
The research results show that financial knowledge, financial attitude, locus
of control and income have a significant effect on financial management
behavior. Most of the respondents were >30 years old, had a fixed income
between Rp. 4,500,000 – Rp. 6,900,000 and were married so they had a fairly
good mindset in managing and making the right decisions for wise financial
management. Respondents have financial knowledge so they are selective in spending
and compare financial institution products and investments according to income.
The amount of fixed income that is not too large causes respondents to tend to
be more responsible and have self-control over their financial expenditure,
namely by prioritizing needs over desires.
