Salah satu fenomena kehidupan remaja yang paling menonjol adalah meningkatnya minat dan motivasi terhadap seksualitas. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang telah dilakukan di salah satu sekolah di Sidoarjo, diperoleh hasil wawancara dengan guru BK, yaitu menyatakan bahwa sekitar 90% siswa laki-laki dalam satu kelas VIII pernah  menonton video porno. Setiap orang dapat mengekspresikan pendapat, penilaian, dan interpretasi mereka atas tindakan yang mereka amati yang disebut persepsi manusia. Kehadiran stereotip gender menciptakan perbedaan dalam karakteristik yang melekat baik pada laki-laki maupun perempuan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa SMP tentang perilaku seksual dan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan persepsi siswa tentang perilaku seksual berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikan 0,160 > 0,05, sehingga  diterima. Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa tidak ada perbedaan dalam persepsi siswa tentang perilaku seksual berdasarkan jenis kelamin.

                One of the most prominent phenomena of adolescent life is the increased interest and motivation towards sexuality. Based on preliminary studies that have been conducted at one of the schools in Sidoarjo. Obtained the results of interviews with Guidance and Counseling teachers, namely stating that about 90% of male students in one class VIII had watched porn videos. Everyone can express their opinions, judgments, and interpretations of the actions they observe that is called human perceptions. The presence of gender stereotypes creates differences in the inherent characteristics of both men and women. The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of junior high school students on sexual behavior and to find out whether there were differences in student perceptions of sexual behavior based on gender. This research method is quantitative. The data collection tool uses questionnaires. The results of hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test show that a significant value of 0.160> 0.05, so that  is accepted. The conclusion is that there is no difference in students' perceptions of sexual behavior based on gender.
