Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan kevalidan, keefektifan, dan kepraktisan pengembangan buku cerita bergambar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas 5 SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang melibatkan subjek guru dan 12 siswa kelas 5 SDN Tanamera I Sumenep. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahapan analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik angket, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data-data yang sudah terkumpul, kemudian dianalisis dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Validitas produk ditinjau oleh tiga orang ahli, yaitu ahli materi, ahli bahasa, dan ahli media. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa buku cerita bergambar berada pada kategori “sangat valid” dengan presentase validitas dari ahli materi sebesar 93%, ahli bahasa sebesar 92%, dan ahli media sebesar 95%. Keefektifan produk dilihat dari peningkatan hasil belajar siswa melalui uji coba lapangan dengan menggunakan perhitungan n-gain. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata n-gain siswa sebesar 0,75 dengan kategori “tinggi” yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan proses sains setelah menggunakan produk yang dikembangkan. Kepraktisan produk diukur melalui angket respon guru dan siswa. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepraktisan menurut guru mencapai 96%, sedangkan dari siswa sebesar 98% yang keduanya termasuk dalam kategori “sangat praktis”. Dengan demikian, buku cerita bergambar yang dikembangkan terbukti valid, efektif, dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA di kelas V SD.

This study aims to produce the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of developing picture story books to improve the scientific process skills of 5th grade elementary school students. This study is a development research involving teachers and 5th grade students of SDN Tanamera I Sumenep as subjects. The research design used is ADDIE which consists of stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through questionnaires, tests, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The validity of the product was reviewed by three experts, namely material, language, and media. The validation results showed that the picture story book was in the "very valid" category with a validity percentage from material experts of 93%, language experts of 92%, and media experts of 95%. The effectiveness of the product was seen from the increasing in student learning outcomes using n-gain calculations. The results of the analysis showed that the average n-gain value of students was 0.75 with a "high" category indicating an increasing in scientific process skills after using the developed product. The practicality of the product was measured through a questionnaire of teacher and student responses. The results of the questionnaire showed that the level of practicality according to teachers reached 96%, while from students it was 98%, both of which were included in the "very practical" category. Thus, the developed picture storybooks are proven to be valid, effective, and practical for use in scientific learning in grade V of elementary school.
