APPLICATION OF DISCUSSION ENGINEERING GROUP GUIDANCE TO IMPROVE STUDENT CAREER PLANNING
Penelitian ini berawal dari fenomena pada siswa kelas XI Teknik Elektronika Daya dan Komunikasi (TEDK) di SMK Negeri 5 Surabaya, bahwa terdapat peserta didik yang memiliki masalah takut tidak mendapatkan pekerjaan setelah lulus. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui penerapan bimbingan kelompok teknik diskusi untuk meningkatkan perencanaan karir siswa kelas XI TEDK di SMK Negeri 5 Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan Pre-Experimental design dengan jenis one group Pretest – Postest Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket yang telah divalidasi. Subjek dalam peneliitian ini adalah 6 siswa kelas XI TEDK 1 di SMK Negeri 5 Surabaya yang memiliki skor perencanaan karir rendah. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI TEDK SMK Negeri Surabaya. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui angket dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data statistik non parametik dengan uji Wilcoxon. Dari hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa nilai Asymp Sig. (2tailed) sebesar 0.028. dalam ketetapan α (taraf kesalahan) sebesar 5% maka 0,028 < 0,05. Bedasarkan hasil analisis ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis diterima artinya ada perbedaan nilai antara pre-test dan post-test. Sehingga disimpulkan ada peningkatan penerapan layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik diskusi dalam meningkatkan perencanaan karir siswa.

This research started from a phenomenon in class XI students of Power Electronics and Communication Engineering (TEDK) at SMK Negeri 5 Surabaya, that there were students who had problems afraid of not getting a job after graduation. The purpose of the study was to determine the application of group guidance discussion techniques to improve career planning for class XI TEDK students at SMK Negeri 5 Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental design with the type of one group Pretest - Posttest Design. The data collection technique in this study used a validated questionnaire. The subjects in this study were 6 students of class XI TEDK 1 at SMK Negeri 5 Surabaya who had low career planning scores. The subjects in this study were students of class XI TEDK SMK Negeri Surabaya. Research data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using non-parametric statistical data analysis techniques with the Wilcoxon test. From the results of statistical analysis shows that the value of Asymp Sig. (2tailed) of 0.028. in the determination of (error rate) of 5% then 0.028 < 0.05. Based on the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is a difference in value between the pre-test and post-test. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in the application of discussion technique group guidance services in improving students' career planning.
