Pengaruh Baffle Cut Terhadap Efektivitas Penukar Panas Shell and Tube Jenis Orientation Triple Segmental Baffle

Banyak penelitian yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi heat exchanger tipe shell and tube agar proses produksi dapat berjalan secara maksimal, komponen penting shell and tube yang paling dominan berpengaruh terhadap nilai efektivitas adalah komponen baffle. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mevariasikan jenis baffle cut terhadap nilai efektivitas dan pressure drop.

Menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan variasi baffle cut 20%, 30%, dan 40% pada jenis shell and tube tipe triple segmental, proses pengambilan data dimulai dari inputan fluida air dingin pada shell (Tcin) suhu 30°C dengan debit air 6 lpm dan inputan fluida air panas pada tube (Thout) suhu 80°C dengan debit 4 lpm, kedua fluida tersebut masuk pada tabung shell sehingga terjadi proses pertukaran panas, selanjutnya pengambilan data temperature fluida dingan keluar (Tcout), fluida panas keluar (Thout), dan tekanan air panas masuk (Pin) dan keluar (Pout). Nilai temperature dan tekanan tersebut sebagai data awal untuk menghitung nilai efektivitas dan pressure drop.

Many studies have been conducted to improve the efficiency of shell and tube type heat exchangers so that the production process can run optimally, the important component of the shell and tube that most dominantly affects the effectiveness value is the baffle component. Using the experimental method with baffle cut variations of 20%, 30%, and 40% in the triple segmental type shell and tube, the data collection process starts from the input of cold water fluid in the shell (Tcin) temperature of 30 ° C with a water discharge of 6 lpm and hot water fluid input in the tube (Thout) temperature of 80 ° C with a discharge of 4 lpm, the two fluids enter the shell tube so that the heat exchange process occurs, then taking data on the temperature of the dingan fluid out (Tcout), hot fluid out (Thout), and hot water pressure in (Pin) and out (Pout). The temperature and pressure values are the initial data for calculating the effectiveness and pressure drop values.
