The Influence of Social Support on Statistics Learning Interest in UNESA Office Administration Education Students in the Covid-19 Era
Bencana COVID-19 menyebabkan pergeseran dari pembelajaran konvensional ke pembelajaran virtual. Tindakan ini dilakukan untuk menghindari persebaran virus yang semakin meluas. Selama pelaksanan pembelajaran virtual ditemukan berbagai gangguan meliputi gangguan jaringan, gangguan teknologi, dan gangguan lingkungan. Gangguan tersebut dapat berakibat pada minat belajar mahasiswa sehingga perlu adanya dukungan sebagai penguat eksternal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk melihat dan mengkaji dampak dukungan sosial terhadap minat belajar statistika mahasiswa dalam periode COVID-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Responden penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi S1 Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran Universitas Negeri Surabaya angkatan 2018. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu sampel jenuh. Data dikumpulkan dengan menyebarkan angket secara online kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi linier sederhana berbantuan program IBM SPSS 26. Hasil analisis data mengungkapkan bahwa dukungan sosial memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat belajar statistika mahasiswa di era COVID-19. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pemberian dukungan mampu meningkatkan minat belajar mahasiswa. Sumbangan efektif dukungan sosial terhadap minat belajar mahasiswa sebesar 23,5%.
The COVID-19 catastrophe has made a shift from conventional learning to virtual learning. This action was taken to contain the spread of the virus. During virtual learning, various disturbances were found including network, technological, and environmental disturbances. These disturbances can result in student interest in learning so support is needed as external reinforcement. This study was done to see and investigate the impact of social support on student interest in studying statistics in the COVID-19 period. This is a research endeavor that is quantitative and descriptive. Students in the 2018 Surabaya State University Office Administration Education S1 study program made up the research respondents. A saturated sample was employed as the sampling method. Data was gathered through online questionnaires and analyzed using a simple linear regression technique assisted by IBM SPSS 26. These data analysis findings demonstrated that in the COVID-19 era, social support had a positive and significant impact on students’ interest in learning statistics. These findings indicate that the provision of support can increase student learning interest. Social support makes approximately 23,5% of the effective contribution to student learning interest.
