This
research is aimed to produce appropriate teaching material that is feasible
(valid, practical, and effective) with implemented guided inquiry learning
model assisted PhET simulation to facilitate scientific process skills on
dynamic electricity to tenth graders. The learning materials which developed
are syllabus, lesson plan, student’s book, student’s work sheet, and students’
result test which is developed by using 4D model. The design of the trial is
using one group pretest-posttest design on 30 students of tenth graders’ in
Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 3, Tulangan. Moreover, this research used
observation, test (pretest-posttest) and also questionnaire to collect the
data. The data of the research includes;
(1) The validity of the learning material in terms of validation of instruments
from syllabus, lesson plan, student’s worksheet, student’s book, and scientific
process skills tests are categorized as valid; (2) The practicality of the
learning material, based on the observation, shows that the implementation of the lesson plan is good,
and also there were some obstacles during the teaching learning process; (3)
The effectiveness of the teaching material in product and scientific process
skills aspect are categorized as complete, and
the students’ responses are good and
effective . Furthermore, based on the
result of the study, it can be concluded that the development of physics
learning material is suitable for practicing the scientific process skills of
senior high school students
