THE DEVELOPMENT OF PASAR SORE TUBAN IN 1985-2002

Salah satu pembangunan yang ditetapkan dalam rencana strategis Pemerintah Kabupaten Tuban adalah Pasar Sore. Perkembangan Pasar Sore dari tahun ke tahun mengalami dinamika secara sosial dan ekonomi. Oleh karena itu, muncul rumusan masalah yang dibahas sebagai berikut: 1) Bagaimana perkembangan Pasar Sore Tuban tahun 1985-2002?, 2) Bagaimana dampak sosial ekonomi Pasar Sore Tuban terhadap masyarakat sekitar? Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah yang terdiri dari heuristic, kritik, interpretasi, dan histotiografi. Temuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pada awal perkembangan Pasar Sore terjadi masalah sosial antara pemerintah dengan oknum pedagang yang mendirikan bangunan los tidak berizin. Pasar Sore juga pernah mengalami musibah kebakaran di tahun 2001. Adanya Pasar Sore memberikan dampak terhadap kehidupan sosial pedagang, diantaranya: meningkatkan taraf pendidikan keluarga, melegalkan pedagang ilegal dan meningkatkan status sosial dengan menunaikan ibadah haji. Sedangkan dampak ekonomi Pasar Sore yaitu dapat memberikan kesempatan kerja bagi warga sekitar dan menambah PAD Kabupaten Tuban. Hasil temuan tersebut sesuai dengan konsep teori ekonomi mikro bahwa pusat kegiatan perekonomian seperti pasar dapat memberikan kesejahteraan pada masyarakat sekitar.

One of the developments contained in the strategic plan of the Tuban Regency Government is Pasar Sore. The development of Pasar Sore from year to year experiences social and economic dynamics. Therefore, the formulation of the problems discussed are as follows: 1) How was the development of Pasar Sore Tuban in 1985-2002?, 2) What was the socio-economic impact of the Pasar Sore Tuban on the surrounding community? The method used in this study is a historical research method consisting of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and histotiography. The findings in this study are that at the beginning of the development of Pasar Sore, social problems occurred between the government and unscrupulous traders who built unlicensed kiosk buildings. Pasar Sore also experienced a fire accident in 2001. The existence of Pasar Sore has an impact on the lives of social actors, including: increasing the level of family education, legalizing illegal traders and improving social status by performing the pilgrimage. Meanwhile, the economic impact of Pasar Sore is that it can provide job opportunities for local residents and increase Tuban Regency's PAD. This finding is in accordance with the concept of microeconomic theory that the center of economic activity such as the market can provide welfare for the surrounding community.
