THE EFFECT OF THE STAD LEARNING METHOD ON LEARNING OUTCOMES OF BASIC PROGRAMMING IN TERMS OF STUDENT MOTIVATION AT SMKN 1 DRIYOREJO
Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan tujuan mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran STAD berdasarkan hasil belajar pemrograman dasar yang dilihat dari motivasi. Motivasi dalam belajar sangat penting dalam mempengaruhi siswa. Untuk dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar perlu ditingkatkan motivasinya. Penelitian ini menerapkan model STAD untuk kelas eksperimen dan menerapkan model Project based learning untuk kelas kontrol. Perbedaan kedua metode di atas yaitu penerapan STAD dengan membagi kelompok siswa yang beragam sementara Project based learning memberikan tugas untuk siswa. Dari hasil belajar diketahui tingkat motivasi siswa kelas STAD 86,08 dan kelas Project based learning 83,92 yang menunjukkan selisih perbedaan. Untuk hasil belajar siswa kelas STAD rata-rata 75,69 dan kelas Project based learning rata-rata 70. Hasil melalui uji hipotesis menghasilkan nilai signifikan yang menyatakan ada pengaruh metode terhadap hasil belajar begitupun antara motivasi terhadap hasil belajar. Data dilihat dari rata-rata kedua kelas baik motivasi dan metode yang berbeda.
This study was conducted to show the effect of the STAD method on learning outcomes in terms of student motivation. Motivation in learning is very important to influencing students so they can inrease the learning achievement. In this study, the used method was experimental method class using STAD model and the control class using project-based learning model. The difference between the two methods are implementation of STAD by dividing different groups of students while Project based learning provides assignments for students. From the learning outcomes, it is showed that the level of motivation of students in STAD class is 86.08 and project-based learning class is 83.92 which is shows the range of difference. For student learning outcomes in STAD class an average of 75.69 and Project based learning an average of 70. The result of hypothesis testing shows that there is a same influence between the method to the learning results and the influence between motivation to the learning results. The results of the average data from the two classes by motivation and by method show different results.
