Analisis Keterampilan Proses Sains dalam Buku Ajar Biologi yang Dikembangkan Mahasiswa Calon Guru Biologi
Analysis Of Science Process Skills Developed by Prospective Biology Teacher College Students
Keterampilan proses sains berperan penting bagi pembelajaran dalam membantu peserta didik menyelesaikan penelitian dan memecahkan masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah menganalisis jenis keterampilan proses sains yang terfasilitasi pada buku ajar Biologi SMA yang dikembangkan mahasiswa calon guru biologi. Jenis keterampilan proses sains yang dianalisis ialah mengamati, mengukur, mengklasifikasi, mengkomunikasi, keterampilan bertanya, dan menafsirkan. Analisis data terhadap sepuluh sampel buku ajar menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan batasan materi keanekaragaman hayati, fungi, plantae, dan animalia. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa sampel buku ajar memiliki penyajian keterampilan proses sains kategori rendah sebesar 30%, kategori sedang 20%, dan kategori tinggi 50%. Jenis keterampilan pada buku ajar yang paling banyak terfasilitasi ialah keterampilan mengamati, mengklasifikasi, mengkomunikasi, dan menafsirkan, sedangkan keterampilan mengukur dan keterampilan bertanya kurang terfasilitasi. Diharapkan mahasiswa calon guru dapat mengembangkan bahan ajar yang sekaligus dapat melatihkan keterampilan proses dan karakteristik materinya, sesuai dengan kompetensi pedagogik guru.

Science process skills play an important role in learning in helping students complete research and solve problems. The purpose of this study was to analyze the types of science process skills facilitated in high school biology textbooks developed by prospective biology teacher students. The types of science process skills analyzed are observing, measuring, classifying, communicating, asking questions, and interpreting. Data analysis of ten samples of textbooks used descriptive qualitative with material limitations on biodiversity, fungi, plantae, and animalia. The results of data analysis show that the sample of textbooks has a presentation of science process skills in the low category of 30%, the medium category of 20%, and the high category of 50%. The types of skills in the textbooks that are most facilitated are the skills of observing, classifying, communicating, and interpreting, while the skills of measuring and asking skills are less facilitated. It is expected that prospective teacher students can develop teaching materials that can at the same time train process skills and material characteristics, in accordance with the teacher’s pedagogic competence.
