Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kegiatan manajemen peserta didik pada Program Kelas Bina Prestasi dan Program 4 Semester (P4S) di MAN 2 Ponorogo yang mencakup beberapa sub kegiatan yaitu, (1) definisi program (2) perencanaan, (2) penerimaan, (3) pembinaan, dan yang terakhir (4) evaluasi. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan rancangan penelitian studi kasus (case study). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisi data yang digunakan meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan melalui uji kredibilitas yang mencakup triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik, triangulasi waktu, dan membercheck; uji validitas eksternal; dependabilitas; dan konfirmabilitas.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) program kelas bina prestasi dan Program 4 Semester (P4S) merupakan program unggulan sekolah untuk meningkatkan prestasi peserta didik (2) perencanaan peserta didik pada Program Kelas Bina Prestasi dan Program 4 Semester (P4S) tersusun dalam Rencana Kerja Tahunan Madrasah (RKTM) yang meliputi kegiatan akademik dan non akademik; (3) penerimaan peserta didik baru (PPDB) pada Program Kelas Bina Prestasi dan Program 4 Semester (P4S) dilaksanakan melalui tahapan pendaftaran online, verifikasi berkas, tes IQ dan TPA, dan pengumuman penerimaan; (4) pembinaan peserta didik di Program Kelas Bina Prestasi dan Program 4 Semester (P4S) dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan akademik (pembelejaran) yang disebut dengan istilah UKBM (Unit Kegiatan Belajar Mandiri) dan kegiatan non akademik melalui ekstrakurikuler; (5) evaluasi peserta didik dilaksanakan melalui evaluasi UKBM yang meliputi berbagai tahapan/jenis evaluasi dan evaluasi ekstrakurikuler.

This study aims to describe the management activities of students in the Bina Prestasi Class Program and P4S in MAN 2 Ponorogo which includes several sub-activities namely, (1) program definition (2) planning, (3) acceptance, (4)coaching, and the last (5) evaluation. The research approach used was descriptive qualitative with a case study design (case study). Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques used include data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion / verification. The validity test of the data is done through credibility tests that include source triangulation, technical triangulation, time triangulation, and member check; external validity test; dependability; and confirmability.
The results of the study show that, (1) bina prestasi class program and the 4 semester program (P4S) is the excellent school program to increase students achievement, (2) the planning of students in the Bina Prestasi Class Program dan the 4 semester program (P4S) is arranged in the Madrasah Annual Work Plan (RKTM) which includes academic and non-academic activities; (3) new student admission (PPDB) in the Bina Prestasi Class Program and the 4 Semester Program (P4S) is carried out through stages of online registration, file verification, IQ and TPA tests, and announcement of acceptance; (4) training of students in the Bina Prestasi Class Program and the 4 Semester Program (P4S)is carried out through academic activities (learning) which are referred to as UKBM (Independent Learning Activity Unit) and non-academic activities through extracurricular activities; (5) student evaluation is carried out through UKBM evaluation which includes various stages / types of extracurricular evaluation.
