Efektivitas Latihan Mobility terhadap Peningkatan Fungsi Gerak Penyandang Disabilitas Autisme di Share Fit
The Effectiveness of Mobility Training in Improving the Motor Function of People with Autism in Share Fit
Penyandang disabilitas autisme sering mengalami keterbatasan fungsi gerak yang meliputi gangguan mobilitas sendi, stabilitas postural, dan koordinasi motorik, sehingga berdampak pada kemandirian dan kualitas aktivitas sehari-hari. Salah satu pendekatan latihan yang dinilai relevan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah latihan mobility, yaitu latihan yang berfokus pada peningkatan rentang gerak aktif, kontrol neuromuskular, dan kualitas gerak fungsional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas latihan mobility terhadap peningkatan fungsi gerak penyandang disabilitas autisme di pusat kebugaran inklusif Share Fit. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest–posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah empat orang penyandang disabilitas autisme usia 19–22 tahun yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Intervensi berupa program latihan mobility diberikan selama delapan minggu dengan frekuensi tiga kali per minggu. Instrumen pengukuran fungsi gerak menggunakan Functional Movement Screen (FMS) yang mencakup tujuh pola gerak dasar, yaitu deep squat, hurdle step, inline lunge, shoulder mobility, active straight leg raise, trunk stability push-up, dan rotary stability. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas dan uji paired sample t-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan skor sebelum dan sesudah intervensi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor FMS pada seluruh komponen tes setelah diberikan latihan mobility, serta terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pre-test dan post-test. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa latihan mobility efektif dalam meningkatkan fungsi gerak penyandang disabilitas autisme. Dengan demikian, latihan mobility dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif program latihan yang aplikatif dan berbasis bukti di pusat kebugaran inklusif untuk mendukung peningkatan kualitas gerak dan kemandirian penyandang disabilitas autisme.
Individuals with autism spectrum disorder often experience limitations in motor function, including impaired joint mobility, postural stability, and motor coordination, which impacts their independence and quality of daily activities. One relevant exercise approach to address these issues is mobility training, which focuses on improving active range of motion, neuromuscular control, and functional movement quality. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of mobility training in improving motor function in individuals with autism at the Share Fit inclusive fitness center. This research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects consisted of four individuals with autism aged 19–22 years, selected using purposive sampling technique. The intervention, a mobility training program, was conducted for eight weeks with a frequency of three sessions per week. Motor function was measured using the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), which assesses seven fundamental movement patterns: deep squat, hurdle step, inline lunge, shoulder mobility, active straight leg raise, trunk stability push-up, and rotary stability. Data analysis was performed through normality tests and paired sample t-tests to determine differences in scores before and after the intervention.
The results showed an increase in FMS scores across all test components following the mobility training, with significant differences observed between pre-test and post-test values. These findings indicate that mobility training is effective in improving motor function in individuals with autism. Therefore, mobility training can be considered as an applicable, evidence-based exercise program alternative in inclusive fitness centers to support improved movement quality and independence for individuals with autism.
