Pendidikan didefinisikan sebagai usaha sadar dan terencana yang difungsikan agar peserta didik dapat secara aktif mengembangkan potensi dirinya. Namun nyatanya hingga saat ini masih ada wabah penyakit yang dikenal dengan istilah covid-19 di indonesia. Untuk menahan penularan, negara menerapkan langkah-langkah pembatasan yang berakibat pada Berbagai lembaga pendidikan yang terpaksa melaksanakan pembelajaran secara online untuk menekan penularan lebih banyak. Dengan demikian besar kemungkinan proses pembelajaran akan mangalami hambatan yang berdampak pada kemampuan mahasiswa untuk menyerap materi ajar secara maksimal dan juga dapat menyebabkan penurunan capaian belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hambatan dan peluang penurunan pencapaian pembelajaran jarak jauh pada mahasiswa di masa pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada mahasiswa dan dosen di Jurusan Teknik Mesin UNESA.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui google form yang melibatkan 74 mahasiswa dari berbagai Angkatan dan 30 dosen Jurusan Teknik Mesin UNESA dibantu dengan tinjauan literatur yang sudah ada sebelumnya. Adapun dari penelitian ini veriabel yang diteliti berupa kumpulan data yang nantinya akan dituangkan dalam bentuk diagram presentase, tentang Hambatan Dan Pencapaian Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh Di Masa Pandemi Covid-19.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hambatan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran jarak jauh berada pada kategori “tinggi” dengan persentase sebesar 52,7%, sedangkan hambatan yang dialami dosen berada pada kategori "sedang" yaitu sebesar 50% yang dihitung berdasarkan beberapa faktor yang diteliti yaitu faktor jasmani, psikologi, fasilitas, dan materi pembelajaran. Pada masa pandemi ini mahasiswa memang mengalami peningkatan dari sisi nilai yang disebabkan karena mahasiswa dapat mengikuti kegiatan perkuliahan dengan mudah karena dapat diakses dimana saja dan kapan saja. Akan tetapi dengan meningkatnya nilai yang terjadi bukan berarti hasil belajar mahasiswa juga mengalami peningkatan karena pembelajaran online hanya terfokus dengan pemberian materi dan tugas tanpa memenuhi kompetensi lain seperti materi praktik yang juga dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa.
Berdasarkan simpulan diatas, maka terdapat saran saat proses pembelajaran jarak jauh berlangsung hendaknya dosen memperhatikan kondisi tubuh tetap bugar agar penyampaian materi bisa efektif, menggunakan provider dengan jaringan internet yang bagus saat proses perkuliahan berlangsung, perlunya menjaga komunikasi yang baik antara dosen dan mahasiswa didalam proses perkuliahan serta memperhatikan kompeternsi yang cocok digunakan saat proses pembelajaran jarak jauh berlangsung sehingga mahasiswa tidak mengalami penurunan hasil belajar (Learning Loss). Selain itu, Universitas Negeri Surabaya khususnya Jurusan Teknik Mesin perlu menyediakan fasilitas baik sarana dan prasarana untuk menunjang pembelajaran online, Memberikan bantuan subsidi kuota internet agar pembelajaran berjalan dengan lancar.

Education is defined as a conscious and planned effort that functions so that students can actively develop their potential. But in fact until now there is still an outbreak of a disease known as Covid-19 in Indonesia. To contain the transmission, the state implemented restrictive measures which resulted in various educational institutions being forced to carry out online learning to suppress more transmission. Thus, it is very likely that the learning process will experience obstacles that have an impact on the ability of students to absorb teaching materials optimally and can also cause a decrease in student learning outcomes. This study aims to find out how big the obstacles and opportunities for reducing distance learning achievement are for students during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is focused on students and lecturers in the Department of Mechanical Engineering UNESA.
This research is a quantitative descriptive study with data collection techniques in the form of a questionnaire. Data collection was carried out through a google form involving 74 students from various batches and 30 lecturers of the Mechanical Engineering Department of UNESA assisted by a review of pre-existing literature. As for this study, the variables studied were in the form of a collection of data which would later be poured in the form of a percentage diagram, regarding the Obstacles and Achievements of Distance Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Based on the results of the study, it showed that the obstacles faced by students in participating in distance learning were in the "high" category with a percentage of 52.7%, while the obstacles experienced by lecturers were in the "moderate" category, which was 50% which was calculated based on several factors studied, namely factors physical, psychological, facilities, and learning materials. During this pandemic, students did experience an increase in grades because students could easily take part in lecture activities because they could be accessed anywhere and anytime. However, with the increase in grades that occur, it does not mean that student learning outcomes have also increased because online learning is only focused on providing materials and assignments without fulfilling other competencies such as practical materials that are also needed by students.
Based on the conclusions above, there are suggestions when the distance learning process takes place, lecturers should pay attention to the condition of the body to stay fit so that material delivery can be effective, use a provider with a good internet network during the lecture process, the need to maintain good communication between lecturers and students in the lecture process and pay attention to the competencies that are suitable for use during the distance learning process so that students do not experience a decrease in learning outcomes (Learning Loss). In addition, the State University of Surabaya, especially the Department of Mechanical Engineering, needs to provide good facilities and infrastructure to support online learning, provide internet quota subsidies so that learning runs smoothly.
