EXPRESSIVE WRITING DIARY BOOK TO IMPROVE SELF-ADJUSMENT IN GRADE VII STUDENTS AT SMP A. WAHID HASYIM JOMBANG
Tujuan penelitian untuk menciptakan mediaexpressive writing diary book sebagai cara meningkatkan penyesuaian diri santri kelas VII di SMP A. Wahid Hasyim Jombang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu jenis penelitian pengembangan dengan model Borg & Gall (1983) yang memiliki 10 langkah, yaitu: 1) penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan format produk, (4) uji coba awal, (5) revisi produk, (6) uji coba lapangan, (7) revisi produk, (8) uji lapangan, (9) revisi produk akhir, dan (10) deseminasi dan implementasi. Namun, dengan keterbatasan waktu peneliti hanya sampai pada tahap ke 5. Hasil dari uji ahli materi sebesar 88,23%, uji ahli media sebesar 92,8%, dan uji ahli calon pengguna sebesar 78,33% sehingga keseluruhan masuk kedalam kriteria sangat baik, tidak perlu direvisi dan baik, tidak perlu direvisi. Hasil prototype media expressive writing diary book berupa buku diary dengan ukuran a5 yang memiliki bagian, yaitu: lembar motivasi, instruksi pengerjaan , what your response, chapter 1 yang berisikan lembar intruksi pengerjaan, how you feel right now, draw your expression, mood tracker, lembar refleksi. Dilanjutkan chapter 2 yang berisikan lembar instruksi pengerjaan, let’s to be honest, lembar refleksi. Selanjutnya chapter 3 yang berisikan, lembar instruksi pengerjaan , to do list and goals, lembar refleksi diikuti biografi penulis.

The purpose of the study was to create a media expressive writing diary book as a way to improve the adjustment of seventh grade students at SMP A. Wahid Hasyim Jombang. The research method used is the type of development research with the Borg & Gall (1983) model which has 10 steps, namely: 1) research and information collection, (2) planning, (3) product format development, (4) initial trial, ( 5) product revision, (6) field trial, (7) product revision, (8) field test, (9) final product revision, and (10) dissemination and implementation. However, given the limited time, the researcher only reached stage 5. The results for the material expert test were 88.23%, the media expert test was 92.8%, and the prospective user expert test was 78.33%. Overall these results are sufficient , and proofing that this does not need to be revised. The results of the prototype media expressive writing diary book are in the form of a diary with an A5 size which has sections, namely: motivation sheet, work instructions, what your response, chapter 1 which contains work instructions sheet, how you feel right now, draw your expression, mood tracker, reflection sheet. Followed by chapter 2 which contains a work instruction sheet, let's to be honest, a reflection sheet. Next is chapter 3 which contains the work instruction sheet, to do list and goals, reflection sheet followed by the author's biography.
