Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Batik Matika guna meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas IV SD pada materi geometri bangun datar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang mencakup tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Sukorejo Kecamatan Buduran, Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, validasi, serta tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri bangun datar, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran Batik Matika yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Dari hasil validasi, ahli media memperoleh skor rata-rata 96,3% dan ahli materi 92,7%, termasuk kategori sangat valid. Aspek kepraktisan ditunjukkan oleh respon guru sebesar 92,3% dan respon siswa 91,9% (kategori sangat baik). Keefektifan media dibuktikan melalui uji Paired Sample t-Test dan uji nonparametrik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test yang menghasilkan nilai signifikansi < 0,001, menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri bangun datar dan kepercayaan diri siswa yang signifikan. Dengan nilai N-Gain score kemampuan pemecahan masalah rata-rata 0,78 (kategori tinggi). Respon guru dan siswa juga menunjukkan kategori sangat baik, serta diperkuat dengan hasil wawancara dengan guru dan observer yang menyatakan bahwa media Batik Matika mudah digunakan, fleksibel, menarik, dan mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri serta keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.
Dengan hasil tersebut, media pembelajaran Batik Matika yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid, efektif, dan praktis. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bahwa media berbasis budaya dapat dijadikan alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran matematika khususnya dalam bangun datar, sekaligus memperkuat wawasan budaya lokal di sekolah dasar.

This study aims to develop the Batik Matika learning media to enhance the problem-solving ability and self-confidence of fourth-grade elementary school students in plane geometry material. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method, utilizing the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were fourth-grade students at SDN Sukorejo, Buduran District, Sidoarjo Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, validation sheets, and a test for plane geometry problem-solving ability, which were then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively.
The results show that the developed Batik Matika learning media fulfill the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective. From the validation results, media experts obtained an average score of 96.3% and material experts obtained 92.7%, both categorized as very valid. The practicality aspect was demonstrated by the teacher's response score of 92.3% and the students' response score of 91.9% (categorized as very good). The media's effectiveness was proven through the Paired Sample t-Test and the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, which yielded a significance value of <0.001, indicating a significant increase in students' plane geometry problem-solving ability and self-confidence. The average N-Gain score for problem-solving ability was 0.78 (categorized as high). The responses from both teachers and students also showed a very good category, further supported by interview results with teachers and observers who stated that the Batik Matika media is easy to use, flexible, engaging, and capable of boosting students' self-confidence and involvement in the learning process.
Based on these findings, the developed Batik Matika learning media fulfills the criteria of being valid, effective, and practical. This research implies that culturally-based media can be an innovative alternative in mathematics learning, especially for plane geometry, while simultaneously strengthening local cultural insights in elementary schools.
