Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan orang tua dengan konsep diri pada remaja awal di SMP “X” di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP “X” yang berada di kelas 7. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 200 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data angket kuesioner. Menggunakan teknik analisa data korelasi pearson product moment. Hasil menunjukkan terhadap hubungan yang cukup kuat antara dukungan orang tua dengan konsep diri, ditunjukkan dengan hasil r sebesar 0,523 dan nilai signifikansi korelasinya 0,000 atau (p<0,05) mempunyai hubungan positif dan searah, sehingga hipotesis diterima. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara skor dukungan orang tua dan skor konsep diri pada remaja awal SMP “X” di Surabaya.

This study aims to determine the relationship between Parental Support and Self Concept in early teens”X” in junior high school in Surabaya. This study used quantitative method approach The population of this research is junior high school students in grade 7. The research subjects are 200 people. The sampling technique use random simple sampling. Quisionaire used in this study to gather responses from the subjects. The data analysis of this study are correlation product moment. The result of this study found high correlation between two variabels which are Parental Support and Self Concept, r value shown 0,523 and signification value at 0,000 or (p>0,05) proved that the correlation were positive and in linear direction. The result of this study shows  that there  is a positive and significant relationship between parental support scores and self-concept scores in early teens “X” ini junior high school in Surabaya.
