Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) proses pengembangan buku suplemen kesenian Keling; (2) kualitas pengembangan buku suplemen berbasis budaya lokal kesenian Keling bagi siswa SMP, kualitas buku suplemen berdasarkan (a) materi, (b) bahasa, (c) kegrafikaan dan penyajian: (3) keefektivan buku suplemen berbasis budaya lokal kesenian Keling, meliputi (a) respon siswa, (b) respon guru, (c) tes hasil belajar siswa, (d) faktor penghambat dan pedukung.
Landasan teori pada penelitian pengembangan buku ini adalah buku suplemen, karakteristik peserta didik, teori belajar dari Piaget, budaya lokal, dan kesenian Keling. Proses pengembangan buku suplemen ini menggunakan Four-D Models. Model pengembangan buku ini terdiri dari tahapan define,design, develop, dan disseminate oleh Thiagarajan. Tahap pendefinisian menggunakan tahapan analisis awal-akhir, analisis siswa,analisis konsep, analisis tugas, dan perumusan tujuan pembelajaran. Tahap Perancangan pada buku suplemen ini adalah pemilihan media, penyusunan materi, pemilihan format, dan rancangan awal. Tahap pengembangan buku suplemen melalui observasi dan wawancara, validasi penilaian ahli, dan uji coba produk pengembangan. Kualitas pengembangan buku suplemen berbasis budaya lokal kesenian Keling dapat diketahui dari hasil validasi para ahli. Validator dalam pengembangan buku ini adalah Bambang Wibisono, S. Sn. ahli bahasa, Dr. Titik Indarti, M. Pd. Ahli bahasa, Marsudi, S. Pd, M. Pd ahli kegrafikaan dan penyajian.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) proses pengembangan buku suplemen berbasis budaya kesenian Keling bagi Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan (3-D) yang merupakan hasil modifikasi dari 4-D, (2)Berdasarkan hasil penilaian validasi kualitas buku suplemen diperoleh rata-rata nilai 90,7 % dengan kategori sangat baik dan layak. (3) Keefektifan diperoleh berdasarkan hasil respon siswa sejumlah 89,7 %, respon guru 95 % dengan kategori secara keseluruhan sangat baik, hasil tes belajar siswa melalui pretest dan posttest terdapat peningkatan setelah menggunakan buku suplemen dan didukung beberapa faktor pendukung dan penghambat. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian pengembangan buku suplemen berbasis budaya lokal kesenian Keling bagi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama dapat digunakan sebagai buku pendukung atau pelengkap dalam pembelajaran Seni Budaya.

This study aims to describe: (1) the process of developing the supplement book for Keling art; (2) the quality of developing a supplement book based on local culture of the Keling art for junior high school students, the quality of supplement books based on (a) material, (b) language, (c) graphics and presentation: (3) effectiveness of local culture-based supplement books on Keling arts, including (a) student responses, (b) teacher responses, (c) student learnig achievement test, (d) factors inhibitors and supporters.
The theoretical basis for the research development of this book is the supplement book, students' characteristics, learning theory from Piaget, local culture, and the art of Keling. The process of developing this supplement book uses Four-D Models.The development model of this book consists of the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate proposed by Thiagarajan. The defining stage uses the stages of initial analysis, student analysis, concept analysis, task analysis, and the formulation of learning objectives.The Design Stage in this supplementary book is media selection, material preparation, format selection, and initial design. The development phase of the supplement book through observation and interviews, validation of expert judgment, and trial of product development.The quality of the development of a supplement book based on the culture of Keling can be known from the results of the experts' validation. The validator in developing this book is Bambang Wibisono, S. Sn. linguist, Dr. Titik Indarti, M. Pd. Linguists, Marsudi, S. Pd, M. Pd expert in graphic design and presentation.
The results showed that: (1) the process of developing a supplement book based on the culture of the Rivet art for Junior High School Students was carried out through three stages (3-D) which were the result of a modification of 4-D. (2) Based on the results of the assessment of the validation of the quality of supplement books obtained an average value of 90.7% with a very good and decent category. (3) The effectiveness is obtained based on the results of student responses of 89.7%, the teacher's response of 95% with the overall category is very good, the results of student learning tests through pretest and posttest have increased after using supplementary books and supported by several supporting and inhibiting factors. So it can be concluded that the research development of the local culture-based supplement book on Keling arts for junior high school students can be used as a supporting or complementary book in learning Cultural Arts.
