Indonesia adalah Negara yang memiliki beragam budaya, sehingga Indonesia dikenal
dengan Negara yang kaya budaya. Budaya yang masih banyak dijumpai dan dijalankan yaitu
tradisi nyadran terutama untuk masyarakat Jawa mayoritas masih menjalankannya. Salah satu
Desa yang masih menjalankan nydranan rutin stiap tahun adalah Desa Sonoageng yang terletak
di Kecamatan Prambon Kabupaten Nganjuk. Di Desa Sonoageng tradisi nyadranan dijalankan
menggunakan prosesi upacara yang sistematis dengan tujuan sebagai wujud rasa syukur
masyarakat terhadap Tuhan YME Yang telah memberikan rezeki yang melimpah berupa hasil
panen yang melimpah dan kesehatan, selain sebagai wujud rasa syukur prosesi upacara nyadran
juga sebagai wujud rasa hormat dan terima kasih kepada danyang atau leluhur Desa Sonoageng
yaitu Eyang Sahid karena jasa beliau Desa Sonoageng bisa berdiri. Prosesi upacara nyadranan
Desa Sonoageng dilaksanakan hari kamis legi malam jumat pahing setelah panen walikan.
Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah 1). Bagaimana sejarah prosesi upacara
nyadranan Desa Sonoageng? 2). Bagaimana perkembangan prosesi upacara nyadranan pada
tahun 1995-2020? 3). Bagaimana prosesi upacara nyadranan di Desa Sonoageng? 4). Bagaimana
nilai-nilai dan makna yang terkandung dalam prosesi upacara nyadranan di Desa Sonoageng bagi
masyarakat Desa Sonoageng?. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah yang
meliputi heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Denagn menggunakan teori dari Talcot
Person yaitu teori Fungsionalis Struktural yang sering disebut dengan istilah “AGIL”
(adaptation, goal attainment, intergration, latency).
Hasil penelitian dapat diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa prosesi upacara nyadranan Desa
Sonoageng dimulai ada tahun 1995 sebelumnya sudah ada nyadranan tapi dilaksanakan sendirisendiri tidak bersama-sama. Prosesi upacara nyadran banyak mengalami perubahan tetapi
perubahan tersebut semakin lama semakin bagus karena prosesi upacara nyadranan semakin
berkembang. Semua elemen masyarakat Desa sonoageng mulai dari pamong desa hingga anak
muda ikut terlibat dari mulai ersiapan hingga acara berakhir, hal tersebut menandakan bahwa
semua masyarakat sadar akan pentingnya menjaga kelestarian budaya leluhurnya. Makna yang
data dipetik pada prosesi upacara nyadranan ini ada beberapa bidang yaitu bidang religi, bidang
ekonomi, bidang sosial dan bidang budaya.

Indonesia is a country that has diverse cultures, so Indonesia is known as a country that is
rich in culture. The culture that is still widely found and practiced is the nyadran tradition,
especially for the majority of Javanese people who still practice it. One of the villages that still
carries out routine nydranan every year is Sonoageng Village which is located in Prambon
District, Nganjuk Regency. In Sonoageng Village, the nyadranan tradition is carried out using a
systematic ceremonial procession with the aim of showing the community's gratitude towards
Almighty God Who has provided abundant sustenance in the form of abundant harvests and
health, apart from being a form of gratitude, the nyadran ceremony procession is also a form of
respect and gratitude. Thank you to the danyang or ancestor of Sonoageng Village, namely
Eyang Sahid, because of his services, Sonoageng Village was able to stand. The nyadranan
ceremony procession in Sonoageng Village was held on Thursday Legi, Friday Pahing evening
after the walikan harvest.
The problem formulation in this research is 1). What is the history of the Nydranan
ceremony procession in Sonoageng Village? 2). How did the Nyadranan ceremony procession
develop in 1995-2020? 3). How is the nyadranan ceremony procession in Sonoageng Village? 4).
What are the values and meanings contained in the nyadranan ceremony procession in
Sonoageng Village for the people of Sonoageng Village? This research uses historical research
methods which include heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. By using Talcot
Person's theory, namely Structural Functionalist theory which is often referred to as "AGIL"
(adaptation, goal attainment, integration, latency).
From the research results, it can be concluded that the nyadranan ceremony procession in
Sonoageng Village began in 1995. Previously there had been nyadranan but they were carried
out individually, not together. The Nyadran ceremony procession has undergone many changes,
but these changes are getting better and better as the Nyadran ceremony procession continues to
develop. All elements of the Sonoageng Village community, from village officials to young
people, were involved from preparation to the end of the event, this indicates that all people are
aware of the importance of preserving their ancestral culture. The meaning that the data derives
from the Nyadranan ceremony procession is in several fields, namely the religious field, the
economic field, the social field and the cultural field.
