PENERAPAN ECOPRINT ECENG GONDOK DENGAN TEKNIK IRON BLANKET OLEH KELOMPOK PKK KEBRAON

APPLICATION OF WATER HYACINTH ECOPRINT WITH IRON BLANKET TECHNIQUE BY KEBRAON PKK GROUP

Kelompok PKK Kelurahan Kebraon merupakan salah satu organisasi yang ada di Kelurahan Kebraon. Beranggotakan perempuan yang berprofesi sebagai ibu rumah tangga. Kelompok PKK Kebraon belum memiliki kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga. Disisi lain kelompok PKK Kebraon RT 05 RW 01 terletak di Kecamatan Karang Pilang, Kota Surabaya dilewati oleh sungai dan memiliki waduk yang memiliki permasalahan berupa ledakan populasi eceng gondok yang dapat menganggu fungsi sungai. Sehingga perlu adanya pemanfaatan sumber daya alam yang ada disekitar mereka berupa tumbuhan eceng gondok untuk dijadikan ecoprint dengan teknik iron blanket.

Berdasarkan latar belakang diatas, maka rumusan masalah sebagai berikut: 1) Bagaimana proses penerapan ecoprint eceng gondok dengan teknik iron blanket oleh kelompok PKK Kebraon?; 2)  Bagaimana hasil penerapan ecoprint eceng gondok dengan teknik iron blanket oleh kelompok PKK Kebraon?; 3) Bagaimana evaluasi dari penerapan ecoprint eceng gondok dengan teknik iron blanket oleh kelompok PKK Kebraon?. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan proses, hasil serta evaluasi dari penerapan ecoprint eceng gondok dengan teknik iron blanket oleh kelompok PKK Kebraon.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang disajikan kedalam bentuk deskriptif. Proses pengumpulan data melalui teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara tidak terstruktur kepada lurah, ketua dan anggota kelompok PKK Kebraon dan studi dokumentasi. Untuk mengganalisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, simpulan atau verifikasi dan validitas data.

Penerapan ecoprint eceng gondok dengan teknik iron blanket dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan yakni sosialisasi, mordanting, pembuatan larutan pewarna alam, pembuatan motif, pembuatan kain alas, pembuatan kain penutup (blanket) dan fiksasi. Hasil karya penerapan ecoprint eceng gondok dengan teknik iron blanket pada kelompok PKK Kebraon sudah cukup baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari evaluasi proses dan karya.

Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa dari 10 kriteria kemampuan dalam penilaian proses kelompok 1 memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 9, kelompok 2 sebesar 7,5, kelompok 3 sebesar 5,8, kelompok 4 sebesar 9,3 dan kelompok 5 sebesar 9,3. Untuk nilai rata-rata dari 4 kiteria dalam evaluasi penilaian karya kelompok 1 memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 22,5, kelompok 2 sebesar 18, kelompok 3 sebesar 10,5 , kelompok 4 sebesar 23,75, kelompok 5 sebesar 20. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa kelompok 2 dan 3 memilki nilai rata-rata yang paling rendah.

Sehingga refleksi yang perlu dikaji kembali adalah ibu-ibu kelompok PKK Kebraon yang tidak mengikuti dan melakukan langkah-langkah penerapan ecoprint eceng gondok dengan teknik iron blanket secara penuh dan meyeluruh akan berdampak pada karya yang kurang maksimal. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya peningkatan kemampuan dengan melakukan langkah-langkah secara penuh dan menyeluruh agar karya yang dihasilkan dapat optimal.

Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan, disimpulkan bahwa penerapan ecoprint eceng gondok dengan teknik iron blanket oleh kelompok PKK Kebraon dapat memberikan pengalaman, keterampilan dan kegiatan yang produktif serta bernilai ekonomis. Sehingga dapat mencetak ide usaha baru yang berkelanjutan melalui pemanfaatan hama eceng gondok serta dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk menjaga lingkungan.

The PKK group of Kebraon Village is one of the organizations in Kebraon Village. It consists of women who work as housewives. The PKK Kebraon group does not yet have activities that can improve the family economy. On the other hand, the PKK Kebraon RT 05 RW 01 group is located in Karang Pilang District, Surabaya City, which is passed by a river and has a reservoir that has a problem in the form of a water hyacinth population explosion that can disrupt the function of the river. So it is necessary to utilize the natural resources around them in the form of water hyacinth plants to be made into ecoprints with iron blanket techniques.

Based on the background above, the problem formulation is as follows: 1) How is the process of applying water hyacinth ecoprint with iron blanket technique by PKK Kebraon group?; 2)  How is the result of the application of water hyacinth ecoprint with iron blanket technique by PKK Kebraon group?; 3) How is the evaluation of the application of water hyacinth ecoprint with iron blanket technique by PKK Kebraon group? The purpose of this research is to describe the process, results and evaluation of the application of water hyacinth ecoprint with iron blanket technique by PKK Kebraon group.

This research uses a qualitative method that is presented in a descriptive form. The process of collecting data through participatory observation techniques, unstructured interviews with the village head, head and members of the Kebraon PKK group and documentation studies. To analyze the data using data reduction, data presentation, conclusion or verification and data validity.

The application of water hyacinth ecoprint with iron blanket technique was carried out through several stages, namely socialization, mordanting, making natural dye solution, making motifs, making base cloth, making cover cloth (blanket) and fixation. The results of the application of water hyacinth ecoprint with iron blanket technique in the PKK Kebraon group were quite good.

This can be seen from the evaluation of the process and work. The evaluation results show that of the 10 criteria for ability in process assessment, group 1 has an average score of 9, group 2 of 7.5, group 3 of 5.8, group 4 of 9.3 and group 5 of 9.3. For the average value of the 4 criteria in the evaluation of work assessment, group 1 had an average value of 22.5, group 2 of 18, group 3 of 10.5, group 4 of 23.75, group 5 of 20. This shows that groups 2 and 3 have the lowest average value. rya.

Therefore, the reflection that needs to be reviewed is that the women of the Kebraon PKK group who do not follow and carry out the steps of applying water hyacinth ecoprint with the iron blanket technique fully and thoroughly will have an impact on the work that is not optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the ability by doing the steps fully and thoroughly so that the resulting work can be optimal.

From the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the application of water hyacinth ecoprint with iron blanket technique to the PKK Kebraon group can provide experience, skills and activities that are productive and economically valuable. So that it can create new sustainable business ideas through the utilization of water hyacinth pests and can increase public awareness to protect the environment.
