Nyandhing Method In Dance Learning At The Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan Banyuwangi Dance Studio
Sanggar Tari Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan Banyuwangi memiliki metode yang menarik dalam pembelajaran tarinya. Metode ini disebut dengan metode nyandhing. Metode ini hanya bisa dijumpai di Kuwung Wetan karena memang didapatkan Dwi Agus Cahyono selaku pendiri sanggar yang kemudian diterapkan ketika mendirikan Sanggar Tari Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan. Peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti metode nyandhing yang diterapkan sanggar ini karena merupakan metode unggulan yang tidak dijumpai di sanggar lain. Adapun rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah (1) bagaimanakah latar belakang berdirinya Sanggar Tari Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan Banyuwangi, (2) bagaimanakah penerapan metode nyandhing dalam pembelajaran tari, (3) bagaimanakah kendala yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran tari di Sanggar Tari Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan. Tujuan penelitiannya yaitu (1) mendeskripsikan latar belakang berdirinya Sanggar Tari Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan Banyuwangi, (2) mendeskripsikan penerapan metode nyandhing dalam pembelajaran tari di Sanggar Tari Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan Banyuwangi, (3) mendeskripsikan kendala yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran tari di Sanggar Tari Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan Banyuwangi. Pendekatan penelitiannya menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penegasan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sanggar ini didirikan dengan tujuan memberikan pelatihan tari dan musik yang menarik agar sesuai dengan karakteristik pembelajaran Tari Banyuwangian. Metode nyandhing dalam pembelajarannya dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah seperti olah tubuh, latihan gerak dasar tari, latihan gerak diikuti hitungan, dan latihan gerak dengan nyandak gendhing sesuai gendhing tarinya. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mempermudah siswa dalam menepatkan gerak dengan irama gendhing nya. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi berasal dari faktor internal (pengurus, pelatih, penari, pemusik) dan faktor eksternal (masyarakat, lingkungan[F1] , pemerintah).

Abstract: Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan Banyuwangi dance studio has an interesting method for learning dance. This method is called a method side by side This method can only be found in Kuwung Wetan because it was obtained by Dwi Agus Cahyono as the founder of the studio which was then applied when establishing the Dance Studio. Researchers are interested in examining the nyandhing method used by this studio because it is a superior method that is not found in other studios. The formulation of this research problem is (1) what is the background to the establishment of the Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan Banyuwangi Dance Studio, (2) how to apply the method side by side in learning dance, (3) what are the obstacles faced in learning dance at the Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan Banyuwangi Dance Studio. The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the background to the founding of the Dance Studio Umah Banyuwangi Kuwung Wetan Art, (2) describes the application of the method side by side in dance learning at the Dance Studio Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan Banyuwangi, (3) describes the obstacles faced in learning dance at the Umah Seni Kuwung Wetan Banyuwangi Dance Studio. The research approach uses descriptive qualitative data collection methods using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and confirmation of conclusions. The research results show that this studio was founded with the aim of providing interesting dance and music training to suit the characteristics of Banyuwangian Dance learning.
