Notational Analysis of the Technical Ability of the Indonesian Women’s National Futsal Team at the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup 2025
This study is motivated by the suboptimal results achieved by the Indonesian Women’s National Futsal Team in international competitions, highlighting the need for a technical skill analysis to identify areas for improvement. The aim of this study is to analyze the technical skills of the Indonesian Women’s National Futsal Team during the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup 2025 using a notational analysis approach. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method with a non-participant observational design based on video recordings. The research was conducted at the Hohhot Sports Center, China, with all 14 players of the Indonesian Women’s National Futsal Team as subjects. Data were collected through video observations of four matches against Japan, Thailand, Bahrain, and China. The research instrument consisted of a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) observation sheet, analyzed using BePro software and Microsoft Excel. Data analysis was conducted descriptively to describe team performance based on five main components: attacking, distribution, defensive, set piece, and discipline. The results indicate that the technical skills of the Indonesian Women’s National Futsal Team varied in each match depending on the opponent. The best performance occurred against Bahrain, while pressure from Japan and China reduced the effectiveness of attacks. The match against Thailand showed solid defense but weak finishing. Team weaknesses were observed in unstable ball distribution, low success in individual duels, and ineffective finishing, suggesting that these aspects need to be improved to achieve more consistent performance.
