Siswa tunarungu dalam proses pembelajaran masih memiliki kesulitan dalam membuat tas makrame untuk itu penerapan model pembelajaran langsung digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan meronce, memuring dan menjahit agar mampu membuat tas yang bernilai jual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran langsung terhadap kerajinan makrame bagi siswa tunarungu.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, dengan rancangan Pre-Experimental Design dengan jenis One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data statistik non parametrik, dengan menggunakan rumus Wilcoxon match pair test . Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan hasil nilai rata-rata pretest 33,5 dan nilai rata-rata postest 76,5. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Zh (2,20) > Zt (1,96) maka Ho ditolak Ha diterima. Disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran langsung terhadap kerajinan makarame siswa tunarungu kelas XI di SLB Ngudi Hayu Srengat Blitar.

The Influence Of Direct Learning Model Toward Makrame Craft To Hearing Impairment Students

Hearing impairment students in learning could make makrame bag, therefore, the application of direct learning model was used as the alternative way to enhance the skills of making a tassel, applying furring fabric and sewing so that they could make a commercial bag. This research had purpose to describe the application of direct learning model toward makrame craft for hearing impairment students.
This research used pre experiment kind. The research design used was one group pre test post test design with 6 samples of hearing impairment students in SLB Ngudi Hayu Srengat Blitar. The techniques of data collection were test and documentation. The technique of data analysis used sign test.
This research used quantitative method with the arrangement of pre-experimental and one-group pretest-posttest design. The data was collected by using test technique. The technique of data analysis used was statistic non parametric with Wilcoxon Two Sample Test formula. The research result indicated that the result of pretest average value was 33,5 and the posttest average value was 76,5. The result of data analysis indicated that α = 0,05 and U table 5% = 1,96. So, the interpretation was α > U table. So, it could be concluded that Ha was accepted. It meant that there was influence of direct learning model toward makrame craft to hearing impairment students class XI in SLB Ngudi Hayu Srengat Blitar.
